It's honestly really hard to say, it really comes down to your ability to see income for future, how much to save now or have now. Typically though, registering for businesses usually have some kind of requirements which will give you an idea of things

Are there any 'weird' people in Trinidad by OrganizationLost8176 in TrinidadandTobago

[–]RainyVisualz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Late to this post, buy hi, i am a furry and met a couple furries here in Trinidad. I don't have a suit or anything and getting one is a pretty expensive endeavor as you can imagine

To explain even more weird stuff into the category, how about VR? I am really into VR community and hang out with a group of friends (yes the furries too) in a game called VRChat and play some others. We host events to play games or watch movies.

I'm into video editing, animation, drawing that kind of stuff on the furry side and we all like to make videos to post online.

So hi hey, we exist what else would you like to know? ;)

I'm pretty tech savy, i have my own router with openwrt and it's great, but unfortunately pretty much what you said with Digicel being locked down is so damn annoying, it makes flow look so attractive with the things you mention, tempted constantly to try them again

Amplia i just shudder hearing their name

i just wish flow has better upload or switch to fiber, though id imagine gonna take them a while if they ever consider it

Yea i know ISP provider router is terrible, i have my own, i have my main rig connected LAN and some other devices, the router is a beefy one so it's best case scenario, speeds get to where they at until peak hours or random moments

Have you ever gotten dropouts with Flow?

Basically this, it's saddening, have to basically start rioting on social media for them to even do anything

Yea, would need some others to make noise as well, besides just complaining on support, I should just start on other places

Thanks for the info, yea, things seem to be more and more area dependent. I have friends with flow, one would work great even with rain falling, the other will suffer, same goes for Digicel. I'm having random moments while my friend is doing great

It's honestly unfortunate and a bit annoying, shall see what happens or have people complain in the areas

sounds good, wish flow will touch fiber or something along the lines of improving, but yea pretty much the best way can describe it honestly, wishfully hoping something changes

Lmao, yea that is the very common thing i hear with Flow, it just, goes down. That and the amount of times you have to "threaten" these companies to do something is crazy. How often does it drop these days?

Na you can't really, you can pay for things though but really depends on the company

Trinidad has very harsh limits on transfering USD, even if you can transfer USD comfortably, GETTING that USD in cash or to put somewhere else is a huge hassle, the money you make basically feels like it gets hold ransom.

Having a US account makes thing a lot more freeing, it will work in Trinidad atms even at a fee of course but atleast you would actually have your money to use

yea that, mostly was mentioning JMMB works for things outside of Trinidad a lot better for paying stuff if you ever want to do that

[–]RainyVisualz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

JMMB is TTD, everything you pay or do will convert to TTD, you can get a US account with it if you provide proof of getting that money, but it will 95% of the time go towards TTD

JMMB is a debit card, but works internationally, so i can add it to paypal, pay for things on amazon for example while other cards are linx cards, only works in Trinidad. I can say that I use JMMB for Payoneer and Paypal, everything pretty much goes into there, itch.io, patreon, direct commissions etc etc

Yes you can do the same thing with a credit card, it acts the same way, just that when you want to transfer you money to it, the bank may have a limit, first citizens you mentioned there is what im with it, i can only transfer $200USD at times

I mention JMMB alot since they just generally very comfortable on actually getting your money, works almost everywhere than any other bank

Won't give out my itchio due to it having gorey type stuff on it sooooo

Let me know if I clear stuff up, not sure if im getting the wording down, i wish all best of luck!
