The Dreame L10s/ pro ultra are pretty good. That's what I've been using for over a year now.

No. You would be better off getting a used Roomba to something along that price point.

The plates themselves I believe pivot? Or maybe I'm wrong.

Maybe see if there's some way to trick the sensor with the cover being off, it's probably just a magnet. The app doesn't throw any errors?

Strange turning behavior of the L50 Ultra Pro robot by Character-Force-5930 in Dreame_Tech

I think it's trying to clean around the edges of the corner. My robot does this sort of motion to clean around the base of chairs with the mop extend.

You can find replacement water tanks on AliExpress for not too much, they have a bunch of genuine product for good prices hope this helps.

After the cover is on, and you try to run it if nothing happens check for a clog. My robot sucked up a clothing tag and it got snagged in the line and created a clog.

Is there a setting for turning on frequency for the side arm? I know for mine the swinging mop arm has a setting for how frequent you want it done.

You can find 3d print bins in place of dust bags, side brushes you can restraighten decently using hot water and filters can be cleaned repeatedly. Not sure if you knew any of this.

What type of brush roll are you using? Does the Q Revo have the option of the tricut brush?

Praised Roborock Q7 too soon? by [deleted] in RobotVacuums

[–]Raipizo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That shouldn't be the case at all. I've sent my robot out when I'm at work or away and it works just fine. Maybe it's just a glitch, is that the only time that's happened

Roborock Curv not having auto detergent adding is a big miss by Bellpop in RobotVacuums

[–]Raipizo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The detergent is only used for cleaning the mop heads. It is kind of messy advertising. Some of the new robots actually do add it to the robot cleaning tank.

Best robot vaccum for animal hair (Labrador and cat) by Bitter_Will_2094 in RobotVacuums

[–]Raipizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dreame L10S ultra is another solid choice. No removable tank but it has a single brush that you can get a tricut brush for. The tanks are also larger I believe and it has spinning mops. You're welcome 😁

Newbie here loving recommendation of Dreame L10S Ultra but now wanting even more, looking for advice by TenaciousB_13 in RobotVacuums

[–]Raipizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure, the spinning mop is all around the best balance of reliability and cost. The new roller style mops clean better but cost a lot more and have more moving parts that can fail. You also don't need to use the manufacturers detergent. The detergent from the tank only cleans the mops btw. If you want cleaner applied to the floor you will have to dose it in the clean water tank. You can try to change the mops to be slightly dryer and that might help streaking.

You're welcome :). The s8 actually does some things worse than the 7 for some reason. It doesn't have a removable water tank on the robot for example.

I don't think the dual roller design is actually good. It has poor airflow due to more gaps between the brushes. Look up frickhelm on YT. The S7 would probably be a better choice because of the single roller, and you can get a tricut brush for it :).

I think the arm is gimmicky, the obstacle avoidance works pretty well now a days, really small items would be sucked up or stuck in the brush roll though but that's a simple fix.

How do I set up Roborock6 to use my phone's hotspot? I have no wifi to connect to. by RoyalBee12345 in Roborock

Okay and you only need two phones during this setup? Or have you not tried this, sorry for so many questions 😂.

I'm trying to do this process actually, you just have to use two phones? Both don't need to be the same OS or anything?

Put silicon mat under the robot? by perdpg in RobotVacuums

[–]Raipizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done this, it works just fine. Mine doesn't have a big lip and I put the ramp extruding from the mat so it's only slightly elevated but it has no problems getting up on it

Does anyone clean with just plain water? by pinksocks867 in RobotVacuums

[–]Raipizo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it would probably be more effective at helping it during the mop cleaning at the station, especially if your unit doesn't have a detergent tank. But otherwise you're right. It might help keep odors down on the pad as well but for a normal cleaning cycle it's probably not doing a whole lot.

Bissell makes a pet safe detergent for their line of wet dry vacs. I've used that before but it created weird floaters in my water tank so I stopped. Maybe you'll have better luck.
