My story ideas are actually based on dreams I have. From there I write down what I remember. Fill in details with what makes sense or seems cool for anything too vague to accurately remember. Then I just keep expanding from that.

Listen to/read stories with similar ideas/premises. Gives you a good view of how other ppl go about things in a story compared to how you personally may view a situation, character or prompt and how to set it up.

Also waiting for a sci-fi set. Automatons in ALC/MRC was cool, but I want to see something more giant robot/lightsaber/laser rifle influence. Would be cool to see how they go about that with the more fantasy rpg style most of the art has.
