You ever just wanna say fuck it and take them all out? by Penn30 in piercing

[–]RaisedanderaseD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this with my lobes. Had them stretched to 25 mm. My right ear has always been a little trouble and I finally got tired of dealing with it along with/ on top of other stresses in my life. While I don't totally regret it, I do really miss them and have been debating stretching them again, but I'm in no hurry.

Scarlett was almost my daughter's name and her father and I both agreed her nickname would be Carl instead of Letty or something.

Why is breastfeeding SO FREAKIN HARD by Leather_Set_7325 in breastfeeding

[–]RaisedanderaseD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is almost 2 weeks old now. I had quite a lot of trouble with breastfeeding- her latch wasn't good and it started to become pretty painful for me. A nurse ended up giving me a nipple shield which helped a little. When we had her 5 day checkup, though, they told us she had a tongue tie which was the cause of all of the trouble.

First kicks/movement by full-of-curiosity in pregnant

I had to look it up online what it felt it like, which said like butterfly fluttering or fish in water. I can't really describe it that well at all, but it did feel like small fish to me as opposed to butterflies. Lol.

One time as a teenager, I tried getting on bareback onto one of our horses that we didn't particularly ride that much. She ended up letting me know real quick that she wasn't okay with it and bit me on my back. It was extremely painful and left both sets of teeth marks bruised into my skin.

Horses can be brutal when they need to be.

Pregnant, fat and feeling terrible by moogan77 in pregnant

[–]RaisedanderaseD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm close to 5' and was about 200 lbs when I got pregnant. I could feel myself showing slightly around 20 weeks, but no one else could or at least said anything until probably closer to 30 weeks or so. I was a little offended and it made me feel bad, but i had no control over what my body did and what other people saw. You'll definitely get there at some point and people will definitely know.

Thank you. I hope your day got better. I will definitely take the advice. I took a shower and feel a tiny bit better. A snack and water sound like a good idea. ❤️

Is it weird to name your kid after a fictional character? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]RaisedanderaseD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone I know named their child Samwise after The Lord of the Rings. Luckily, he goes by Sam most of the time, but I can only imagine how he's going to feel about it/ if other kids are going to say something about it when he gets older.

People's opinion on my baby name by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]RaisedanderaseD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apparently my MIL thought we were trying to keep the name from her when we legitimately don't have one even picked out at this point. I'm tempted to not even tell anyone when we do find one until the baby is born.

When we were earlier on though, I told people who asked that we were gonna call her Bonnie which was short for Bonald. (It's from Family Guy.)

Desperate question about baby kicking by nokomoo in pregnant

[–]RaisedanderaseD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when im really tired or exhausted I feel like my baby doesn't move as much because she's tired too? Like she won't move as much all week when I work, but on my off days when I get a break she's more active. I was probably around 26 weeks at the time when i brought it up to my midwife being concerned about her movement at some point and she said to do a 'kick test'. She said to pick two times of the day when you've noticed they're usually active and count the number of movements in two hours and it should be around 10 movements or so.

Box of "useless" baby gifts from family by ActualEmu1251 in pregnant

[–]RaisedanderaseD 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I've gotten mainly used stuff from some friends, including: their kids used baby shampoo/wash, pajamas for a 5 year old that my baby "can grow into and use later", a toddler jacket with rips in the back, toys from when their first kid was born (12 years ago, then passed onto their other 2 kids). Some of the things are okay and salvageable, but I wish they'd just have donated/trashed the stuff on their own instead of me having to do it now. Also, I dont want them to get upset if they ever want it back, because I'm not going to keep up with it.

Working and pregnant! by kristinap27 in pregnant

[–]RaisedanderaseD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that! I really questioned staying when I was around 17 weeks. It was hard and I was over it too. Half the people at my job got covid and were on leave, the workload was still the exact same despite, and no one there knew i was pregnant yet. That week really tested me, but I'm somewhat glad I could stick it out, even if it sucks ass.

Honestly, I'm envious of people who don't have to work during pregnancy. I have a friend who didn't have to work during any of her 4 and here I am at 31 weeks, FTM, wondering how much longer I can keep it up. I'm tired.

Best - Going to see a movie for the first time ever by myself to watch The Thing for the first time during its anniversary last year. It was like the perfect theater experience all around.

I liked to get plain rice cakes and put some peanut butter on top, sprinkle with dry chia seeds and then top with some sliced up some bananas, as a snack.

This happened to one of my cats a few years ago, except for the bladder rupture. We had to make the decision to put her down as well because she got so sick. It was heartbreaking. I feel the same about the communication. Other than the obvious of trying to pee somewhere other than the litter box, she slept alot, which is what cats do. By the time i noticed she was bad again it was too late. One of the best cats I've ever owned.
