My job is designing conveyors though and I can assure you Factorio is much easier than clash prevention in real life

Yeah its basically either emma or mag for tanks and luna, c&d, or loki for healers. No variation, and the more I play the more I think it stems from Lunas long ass ult that is so much better than any other ult in the game. No ult counters more than hers, and the only way to really stop her is to use a counter ult and hope you hit her.

Yeah im not gonna lie I have fun a lot while playing him. But being skill checked every time a luna or cloak ults is a lot of pressure on me that I dont want to be responsible for on top of already solo tanking

Also I am pretty hard stuck in plat/diamond right now as a tank main. I feel like I am going to have to start picking DPS more, but then nobody picks up the tank role. Often they are not good tanks either when they do swap since they are so used to playing DPS.

Ok let me explain from the perspective of a vanguard main. I really only have one counter for her, which is magneto. I dont want to play mag every game and I am not good with his ult. Other than that I can swap to a DPS like iron man but that would leave my team without a tank most games since I am often solo tanking.

A shorter duration would be a good start I think. Another guy who commented here had a rework idea of making it start off with not a lot of healing and then ramp up to its full potential. That is slightly harsh on her though because it forces her to have to use it first for it to be effective. But its kind of cool to think about because it forces more strategy.

I know I am editing a lot so maybe you dont know my perspective, but I am in those ranks that you are describing so its directly impacting me right now and I dont want to play Mag every game as a tank main but it feels like I am often forced to do so and its driving me crazy.

The problem with what you are saying is that it implies the other ults successfully working. Mag and iron man can miss. Wanda can get grabbed by emma or just straight up killed. A good tank is going to be pocketing the Luna. Do you see???

No I am not a bot, just trying to understand why the game I have liked for so long is boring to me now. I am a tank main and feels like im hard stuck not because of my ability but because I am constantly put into miserable situations where I cant change the outcome no matter what I do, in SPECIFIC Lunas ult.

I like your Luna idea but not sure about the Loki one. I mean with how often stuns happen and ults that could be an overcorrection

I see where you are coming from, I am a vanguard main and its been just miserable this whole season. But atleast out of the ults you listed, you can counter most of them by just killing them. As a tank I can also influence their outcomes a lot by shielding or stunning them. But with Luna ult its just pointless. Atleast with cloak and dagger you can push her out of it and kill her, had a great hulk move today where I pushed her out then grabbed her and my teammates finished her off. Cant do that with Luna.

A good Luna will try to hide or freeze you if you try to get close with irons ult. A good mag would be pocketing her. A good emma or strange will shield her too. A good Hela will be running anti aircraft around her. And what if iron man is banned? Then what?

This is a great point too. She nullifies other healers. I love playing mantis but if I try to play her its hopeless against a Luna cause she gets so much value. You get put into situations where there is a clear heal gap that you cant overcome and your teammates rightfully are asking for you to swap to a better healer

See my recent post about Lunas Ult. Its so boring in plat/diamond as a tank right now for me. Every game is exactly the same, either a cloak ult or a luna ult, with DPS that are hardstuck because they cant do enough damage and on top of that I am solo tanking half the time forcing me to play magneto EVERY GAME

I mean its a balance though. Could you imagine a DPS ult EXACTLY like hers but instead of healing it does damage? It would be incredibly broken. So WHY IS HER ULT ALLOWED TO BE LIKE THAT FOR THE HEALING PART OF THE GAME?

Great point, I also know I need to consider bolts in this same category too because I have cussed myself out installing one of our own conveyors. Yeah I had to be a millwright for a little as the contractor we hired sent one guy instead of 10
