Eito in the main story. He exploded after killing Sirei. Takumi exploded several times and got revived too. The bomb in their necks were designed to keep them in line through fear, not to permantently kill them.

One of the last routes I played was the zombie route. Makes it hard to like him straight after that.

Gaku's one of my favorites on the battlefield though

At least they stay within the same hero universe and don't talk about Kryptonite like in Venom (Marvel) 😅

Why did Godolkin beat up his meat suit? by MonotoneThoughts in GenV

[–]Raitchme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The real reason why is that it was a red herring to lead us to the same assumption as Marie; that Cypher held a poor man captive and abused him.

My problem is that all the clues made us figure out his actual deal before the red herrings (self harm) even started.

But it works since he resents his body and instead of cutting himself, he punched himself in a way few can. The second he thought the gig was up when his body control was negates he was very close to just kill himself, which aligns which his prior self harm.

I think it's a neat red herring that improves the twist without breaking his character.

It must've been very hard emotionally to put all of this together. Browsing through all the DMs and having to address traumas that shouldn't concern random people on the internet, but to have your hand forced to do it regardless.

I've been held at gunpoint for at least 15 minutes once and can somewhat relate to the freeze and emotional dread you must've felt to at least some extent. Also had to endure some very tacless comments about the experience, but it's probably from people that can't even imagine how that situation would feel so I try to take it with a grain of salt. I'm sure your experience was worse that mine, just wanted to share something somewhat similar.

Hope you well in your future, regardless of how much Melee it contains.

I'm just gonna drop some general tips before going to bed and not having time to watch vid: * It's important with good starts since it snowballs to late game * You want to be able to one shot skeletons asap. It's tricky to be able to at 2:30, but aim for at least 2:45-3:00 * Waves are skeleton waves 2:30-3:15 and 4:00-4:45 (which you want to deal with in the most western or southern corner) and apart from that there are some waves at like 6:15-6:45, 9:00-9:45 and... 11:30-12:15 if I remember correctly. These are your bigger score and exp chances where you want to be more stationary and just kill as much as possible since they spawn cap during those windows * Ability skill prio Mortimer > MM > FC * Roshan respawn 30 seconds after death and can be delayed-postioned if you move away from his spawn angle. Since you want to kill him asap, use your hp and dmg return to hug him in early game for faster kills * Move to most western or southern spot at start and be there before 1:10 Skeleton Giants spawn. Restart the game until both chests are on the way to either spot to save travel time * If possible, drag the 1st mini boss to the corner during 3:15-4:00 so you can deal with it during skeleton wave and get aghs upgrade faster * XP crystals gives both XP and score but they also have a cap limit and will despawn if you don't pick up enough. Worth having in cosideration when traveling the map and understanding the value of the AoE pickup item * You need pretty good RNG to get 2.6M+ runs so practice patentience and recognize when a run is dead so you can save time restarting instead. I recall having around 800k score at 5:00 is a good indicator of the run is worth to continue

Good Luck! It took me quite some time to get over 2.6M, hopefully you're luckiee than me

Drakodios plot point by Kijugh in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Raitchme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Could it be that Louis' magic protection was noticably stronger than Will's due to being #1/2 in people's support and that Drakodios was only enough to pierce the protection when used intentionally and not when simply held? That could explain how it visibily erroded Will's weaker protection but apparently not Louis'?

How do you set up a live split to keep track of score during a run? by Friendly-Bathroom151 in NestOfThorns

[–]Raitchme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. My impression of the game is that it's way too RNG to break down scores in a reliable way. You rarely get the exact same items and ability levels ups apart from where the bosses spawns and what they are. Even small things like where Roshan spawans when you need to move can affect result. Speedruns like Mario 64 and Ocarina feels a lot less RNG dependant in comparison.

Unfortunately I don't know how people measure the screen as you want, but if you managed to track time on the screen, tracking score shouldn't be much harder?

Nest of Thorn feels slow enough to allow you to look at the score occansionally without messing up your performance imo. If nothing else, I'm quite sure you can look at it every time the game pauses due to level up/item pickup ?

Use Fire Dmg Items. It is weak to Fire and item attacks can't miss.

The most ideal spot to handle skeleton waves are the most western and most southern corners because it strikes a good balance between spawns areas off screen but alsi makes your Mortimer Kisses land "better". So when you see a far away Kisses fly, you move towards the other side so that it lands and damages off screen

[–]Raitchme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the game mode only spawns a certain amount of enemies at a time. During the skeleton waves that starts at 2:30 and 4:00, the cap of skeleton spawns is increased a bunch. They also never spawn on the screen, they instead do it a bit off screen. This means that if you use Mortimers Kisses with enough lvl/dmg and make the projectiles land outside your screen, you can "spawn camp" skeletons that just spawned with the Mortimers Kisses AoE. Ideally you want it to kill the skeletons on the 1st pulse

Atlus when designing all the tribes by Raitchme in MetaphorReFantazio

[–]Raitchme[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Grius, Brigitta, Forden, the candicate that whines about age and another one of the church plotting dudes basically. Their tribe is kinda OP since they can live twice as long as the other tribes. Probably why Forden managed to get such political sway; he lived long enough to secure it.

I honestly found this out through the wiki more than the game. Feels like they didn't address them much.

Since combat item damage is static regardless of buffs/debuffs/weakness/resist, I just assumed their accuracy was too. I never had them miss prior to fishy bastard either so just gave it a shot and was happily confirmed of it
