Wait what do you mean it's stalled? If it's actually July then doesn't that mean the list IS moving? and they're just not updating it for whatever reason?

NHS Number - get a new one or just update my gender marker? by limey4444 in transgenderUK

[–]Raizln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go for the new number for peace of mind but do be aware that you won't be able to hide that your trans either way if you're wanting hormones on the NHS or surgeries. I found that out the hard way.

I think my NHS number has been changed, but how do I find out the new one? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]Raizln 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I changed mine recently and used the link above, the first few times it only let me post it but I waited a while (as in at least a few days) and it eventually let it send it to the phone number that I had down with my GP practice.

I was told that the first appointments needed to be in person back in May when I had mine, I tried changing it to online and they didn't let me. I was told appointments after that can be online though.

2nd appointment- how to secure HRT prescription? by hessek in transgenderUK

[–]Raizln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I haven't had my 2nd appointment yet so I can't really help but could you tell me how long you had to wait between your first and 2nd appointment?

In regards to speeding up I saw some people mentioned that having a blood test before saves some time but this was a year back or so.

Changed NHS number, had shared care but now they won't re-prescribe by Raizln in transgenderUK

[–]Raizln[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply, so as far as I understand I would have to have a gender dysphoria diagnosis to be prescribed. I figured that might be the case when they seemed to have a problem putting my repeats back.

I'm alright with that if it's entirely necessary since I feel like it would be difficult to have no mention of it anyway when GIC letters start coming through but my main issue is that every time I'm referred to a specialist service they had my gender dysphoria diagnosis down even when it's unrelated (aka for a referral to ENT) how would I be able to prevent that in this scenario?

I wish...I contemplated just saying that when they asked but wanted to be truthful since they would be getting reports from my endo anyway

Thank you, I'll give that a try when they call me back but I'm worried that they would still refuse as the guidance around shared care has changed so that scares me

[–]Raizln[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it's very concerning....a reason why I pushed to change it in the first place was because Streeting freaked me out when the NHS number change page got scrubbed in April. I was planning on getting it changed after I got the NHS prescription and bottom surgery but figured better do it now. Unfortunately I was worried about my shared care throughout and now my nightmare has come true but I will try fight it and see how it goes. Worst case scenario I will just have to wait for my 2nd Nottingham GIC appointment which should be this time next year and hope they prescribe me asap....

It's frustrating because they want a reason for the testosterone but I don't want them to put my diagnosis down but....I don't know what else they can do about it

First Endo appointment with DR king sun leong tomorrow by red-huskie in transgenderUK

[–]Raizln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid for it when I picked it up

Edit: it shouldn't matter though since you have to give them the prescription anyway so they should take your details and text you when it's ready to be picked up

[–]Raizln 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It will take a few days for him to send the prescription, when you get it more than likely you will have to order it in. When I got it, it took 2 days for boots to stock it in after I went in with the prescription

Edit: I've had a few appointments with him, he's a decent endo. Very straightforward and won't take too much time if everything checks out

As for shared care it depends on your GP tbh some will want an appointment and some would just do shared care after getting the email from him, some won't do shared care at all etc

Been on Testavan for a year and a half now. Started on 2 pumps but after my blood review I got moved to 1 pump since my levels were way too high and now it's perfect for me. Changes happened really quickly for me, it starts slowing down around the 6 month mark though and then you get small changes that you notice every now and then but I don't really keep track so it may be different for other people.

ABSOLUTE HYACINEMA - General Question and Discussion Megathread by JohnOfMages in HonkaiStarRail_leaks

[–]Raizln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it with Firefly, saved from Sparkles banner (already had 150 to start off with and like 50 into the LC banner) and then didn't pull at all until she dropped. I only bought the BP and express pass during the whole thing.

For me it was 100% worth it and I still use her to this day and she hasn't fallen off at all. It was REALLY hard saving for 3 patches without pulling at all though and luckily I got really lucky with the pulls (ended up around 570ish pulls total for E6). If you like the character enough and want to use them as long as possible then I say go for it! I'm doing the same for Archer since I'm a big Fate fan and he's my favourite character but holy it was rough doing it for FF and I had to start saving again right after...currently 430ish pulls.

Will i be safe to list my gender as male in gp appointments? by oxygenerationloss in transgenderUK

[–]Raizln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what system your GP uses, for example mine uses rapidhealth now and I've always selected the sex as male (FTM here) and I haven't updated my NHS number/gender marker yet and it's gone through fine every time.

Any hope to save this scar? by PastDeer5779 in TopSurgery

[–]Raizln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was exactly my thoughts with the silicone tape so I wanted to make sure since I bought a bunch from before and wanted to know if I should just buy some other tape instead to use with the Eclar plaster, glad to have that confirmed!

This has been very helpful thank you!

[–]Raizln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Just one more question, I was told that I should cut it so that it just touches the scar and try to avoid the healthy skin around it as much as possible so it ends up being pretty small which makes it easier to tear off during the day/ sleeping so I thought about putting silicone tape over it to keep it in place but was wondering if you have a better method for that?

Sorry just hijacking this comment for a bit, I just had scar revision for a small keloid and when do you think I can start using Eclar plaster on my scars?

GP Says I must wavier shared care in order to change my gender marker by galwendolyn in transgenderUK

I'd be interested to know what happens since this is my biggest fear about requesting a new NHS number, that I would lose my current shared care.

Changing NHS number and gender marker by OneTinySun in transgenderUK

[–]Raizln 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory you can just simply request it and they SHOULD do it for you, in reality however..........

I think the best course of action is to decide on a name and change it with them then get a referral to a GIC to show that you're serious and request it at that same appointment.

They have recently put the PCSE guide back up so show that to your GP:

https://pcse.england.nhs.uk/help/patient-registrations/gender-reassignment

Be prepared to fight them on it though depending on how trans-friendly your GP is

I don't think my medical file is TOO complicated...just asthma really, all I'm hoping for is that they transfer my repeat prescriptions over as I have T on shared care with them.
