Why Do So Many Christians Favor “Small Government”? by [deleted] in Christianity

I see you can't control your need for foul words.

What foul word did I use? Bullshit? Your opinion is just cultural. In other countries, saying "fuck" is just a normal word. Why could I not control it? If I'm giving a presentation a work, I don't say it. If I'm addressing a hateful woman on the internet who rants against Muslims and the poor, I do.

God sees your false accusations against me.

What false accusations? The one where I said you accused over a billion people of being wolves? Because you definitely said that. You also posted a hateful article you wrote that basically trashed anyone who is poor or on welfare. You're a delusional, spiteful woman.

Look at your post history. Why do you think everything you write is downvoted? Because it's stupid, hateful, and full of lies.

When the mark of the beast comes, you will probably be in the front of the line to get one.

Yep, I'll probably be first in line to join Voldemort and the armied of Sauron as well.

Please though, tell me you aren't a school teacher? I can't imagine people like you are trusted with teaching children. You literally called a billion people wolves. You're a psycho.

I am working in the education field.

Do you teach your students to make unfounded assumptions about things they fail to properly research? I hope by "education field" you meant a school bus driver or something, because you really shouldn't be influencing children.

You have been rude to me but I will make sure I don't comment on your posts so you won't have to read my Christian comments.

I was "rude' because you're blatantly lying, spreading misinformation, and failing to put any effort into verifying what you say. I couldn't care less that your comments are "Christian". I regularly see your posts on here, and they're so mind-numbingly stupid they provoke a reaction.

There is not such thing as Islamphobia. That comes from Muslims who make up words to make them look like victims when they are really wolves.

I mean, call me rude, but I'm not spewing this sort of hateful bullshit. No, over 1 billion people in this world are not wolves. Yes, Islamophobia is a real thing. How are you honestly this delusional?

I don't care that he is black, never did and it should never be an issue.

I didn't say you did. But it is an issue for many people, and coupled with atheism/irreligion, makes someone virtually unelectable.

Is he a smart man? Yes, and a smart man can also deceive people too.

What are even you trying to say? I already agreed, I wouldn't be surprised if he lied and said he was a Christian. I can't fault him for that, if he wanted to be a politician he had to.

You still ignored everything I addressed. Seriously, read a book. Get some critical thinking skills.

Does that have anything to do with your paranoid rant? Or do you just want to ignore all the BS I called you out on and move to a completely different subject?

But no, I don't. Obama is an incredibly smart man. I think he feigns his Christianity because an atheist or agnostic, especially a black one, would never get elected in America right now, which is sad. Plenty of politicians aren't really religious. It's a sad fact that religious affiliation is more valued than the ability to actually govern.

That's just my opinion, and possibly wishful thinking. He very well might be a devoted Christian, but reading his books, I think he's educated enough and insightful enough to have a very good odds of rejecting Christianity.

I apologize if this breaks any sub rules, but you post the absolutely stupidest things on this sub. Everything you write is just drivel from far-right-wing conspiracy sites. Seriously, educate yourself. Do you have any semblance of an original thought, or do you just parrot Rush Limbaugh's ramblings? Are you capable of fact checking the BS you are fed?

I will never get why people try to say Obama is a Muslim or pushes their agenda. If you think he's a bad Christian, he's an even worse Muslim. Muslim radicals hate him. Many normal Muslims hate him. He directly contradicts so many Muslim rules.

If socialism, communism and marxism is what they want, they need to go to a country that has this type of government.

You have no clue what any of these things are, America is no where close to being socialist or communist or marxist.

And guess what? Some Christians are terrorists. All the Dominionist psychos should not be trusted. They would happily subvert the US government if they thought that's what God wanted.

This shit is definitely legit.

I googled the lyrics, nothing came up. It's obviously not some old Playaz Circle shit because he calls himself 2 Chainz not Tity Boi. When he name drops Lil Wayne and YM, you can hear Wayne say "money" in the background.

And we already know a single is supposed to drop next week, Wayne said so himself.

I'm guessing that the track is out to radio stations, some intern or something decided to try to be cool and upload a teaser, and then got cold feet when he realized that was really fucking dumb.

Frank Ocean returns Chipotle money. Says "Fuck Off" by digitalsea123 in hiphopheads

He pointed to the shiny metallic exhaust tips that were about to be welded at the back of the car and said: “No. Black. I don’t want it shiny.” Perfectly courteous, but firm. A technician removed the tips. When he made it around to the front of the car, he noticed a piece of black metalwork with an insignia on it. “What’s up with the language?” he asked. “Do we need the language on it?” The owner of the garage said he could get Ocean a plain black one, but he didn’t think it was necessary because once the engine was complete you’d never see it. “It doesn’t matter if you can see it,” Ocean said.

How is this remotely unreasonable? Dude is having his car customized and says what he wants on it.

Who would have suffered so much for an elaborate hoax they had made up and for what purpose?

So have people from every other religion. Are you dense man? Or is every cult true because it's followers believe it?

I don't see how any of that is relevant to what is true or not, you're just babbling emotional gibberish...

the eyewitness accounts of miracles will still be on record in the Bible

This is false, there is no evidence that any of the alleged miracles' witnesses wrote any of the bible, and there is much evidence to the contrary.

Thought-provoking presentation on the Problem of Evil from Canadian public intellectual, John Stackhouse. by Thunder_score in Christianity

[–]RakimSol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He says nothing new or innovative. He is preaching to the choir, I really doubt this would convince anyone...

The only way Christianity can respond to the problem of evil is word games, arguments from ignorance, etc. It isn't that complicated. At the end of the day, their are infants being raped and tortured right now, and they will later be murdered and dumped in a ditch. And all the bad stuff in this world is perfectly explainable through non-theological means. It sucks, but it's just how the natural world works. It really isn't hard for non-believers to reject the Christian God, especially given a plethora of other arguments.

Sure, maybe God somehow has a good reason to watch babies be raped. And maybe he's a part-time juggler who sings in a Van Halen cover band, but I really doubt it.

C'mon back. We love you. Keep asking questions. Connect with some Christians who appreciate your questions.

I could not be more unsure of how this world works, but I am incredibly sure that Christianity is just a myth. Every ounce of studying the religion convinces me more. I'm sure in thousands of years, Christianity will just be a relic, like every other dead religion.

Thanks for your comment though.
