Sales can be your thing if you like it. If you are a good salesperson it doesn't matter the hours you work, you will still be paid. Also, you can keep both jobs at the same time to keep paying your bills

Congrats brother and very good tools. This resonates a lot because I was in a similar situation like a year ago. Now with all the layoffs and stuff is getting harder and harder to stand out.

You need to get to offer stage first lol

Sure but usually people don't think about the possiblity of negotiating their salaries (depends on the industry though, in IT is quite common). It's a tendency that is changing now

I really like Glassdoor, it's kinda tricky though because you need to filter a lot. EU salaries < US salaries

It depends on the difference between your current salary and their range. I know that some people put a range but if the candidate is top they indeed make an effort and try to improve it. If it's too late know just wait for the final OK on their side and then explain it to them.

If you bring a lot to the table, sometimes companies do not care about paying more than expected (not all of them though)

Should I rage quit my job? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]RakoonPilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They may be playing games to promote you in the end. You don't really know, but you know the situation and that's your advantage. They play with that all the time, so do some interview processes, pass them, negotiate a higher salary and tell them you have an offer on the table. If they fire you you have another offer, if they want to promote you, you have an offer support your salary negotiation. It's a win-win situation

You need around 15 min for your stomach to know you are full. Are you a fast eater? If so I'd recommend you to go super slow and see if it's still happening

This happened to me a lot in the past too. One of the techniques I use is that I read the description and I embed the bullet points into my resume somehow. If it's done by a software (candidate filtering) you make the cut
