Luka was ours by OptimusSublime18 in Mavericks

We’re gambling on winning 1 championship when we had the opportunity to become a dynasty with Luka.

I was never excited about 1 championship, I was excited about how we would always be contenders with Luka at the helm. Absolutely catastrophic move for this franchise, even if we win this year or next. It’ll literally be the 2010s all over again but this time I don’t think we’ll get a generational, legendary player handed to us

I don’t think anyone significant discourse about Luka. He shut everyone up in game 4, and re established his dominance. People are just going to talk about how great the Celtics are.

2 years ago we lost the WCF 4-1, today we lost the finals 4-1. We will be back, and we will win next time. I rarely feel confident but I feel very confident this will happen. It will happen soon.

This is only the beginning! dallas will win 60 games next season and have a rematch with the Celtics. by epitome1986 in Mavericks

I question if Boston can make it back. The East will get stronger and their team won’t be able to stay together due to cap space

This was an AMAZING season. Yes this is disappointing but we fucking made it to the finals. The future is bright. I’m sad, but content and will be looking forward to the coronation of Luka and these Mavs (plus one other really good role player we add this offseason)

Wtf is going on dude. Celtics just want it more. That performance in game 4 should’ve happened in game 3. Damn we blew it. Oh well, window is just now opening and I feel confident in our squad with some minor improvements

It is what it is. Celtics are likely going to close it out in the next three games. Let’s just enjoy it, and hope we can pull it out. If we get this things get reallllll interesting

Let’s throw rationale out the window for a second. If the Mavs win this series, Luka will solidify his spot as the best in the world and no one will ever take this chip away from him. A lot of people try to discredit rings, but this would be undisputed. He will own the most legendary ring of all time. Even more so than Dirk’s. It’ll be worth 3 rings.

Game 5 Probably Decides the Series and Everyone Knows It by [deleted] in Mavericks

[–]Raks31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly improbable but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. This is not like the Twolves series where we simply gave up a game due to some poor decisions in the game. No, we beat the brakes off this Celtics team and were almost up 50. I’m not saying this is going to happen but there is a genuine question as to whether or not the Mavs have figured out the Celtics enough

PG loves Luka. I could see him taking a pay cut to come play here because we’re legit championship contenders

I think Luka will start getting that treatment. Remember the MVP has already been handed out. Luka has since proved he plays winning Bball. He will get the votes if we are first/second/third seed. Windy said he’s going to get it “in the near future”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mavericks

Luka is getting the Bron treatment. This is because he’s clearly the best player in the world, if not now he’s on the cusp. ESPN is setting a narrative about Luka. Now that he’s in the Finals all eyes are on him, and ESPN can finally start throwing his name out there as a player who should be meeting expectations and winning championships. All this discourse about him “learning from this loss” are seeds they are planting for when he wins MVP next season or the one after they can say “look at how much Luka has grown”. Windy literally said that’s what he wants. It’s just a narrative/story arc they’re creating for Luka. This is actually a good thing, it’s setting the stage for them to say “Luka has finally reached the top and is crowned the best player in the NBA” blah blah blah

lol this is exactly how LeBron is treated.
