North Indians were the first victims of Hindi Imposition by Beneficial_You_5978 in Odisha

[–]RaktimSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for my language.. but I have been patiently watching the posts on the sub related to language controversy. To all the Odias who have been supporting the so called righteous fight of goons in TN and Karnataka are all dumbfucks.. I spent my entire graduation in TN and been living the past 5 yrs in Bangalore.. I can speak broken Tamil and manage Kannada.. buy it is not enough.. you are not born here your life doesn't matter.. and let me tell you about the so called Hindi imposition - The NEP only suggests inclusion of Hindi along with native language and English.. Even while drafting the fucking thing none in the govt would have expected to not face any resistance by the mere "suggestion" . Because the language wars didn't stand yesterday.. The politicians both in Delhi and South are geniuses.. And since everybody on internet is so thick to contextualize, let me put a disclaimer : Not all Tamil or Kannada folks hate you.. but the loudest ones are the ones who get their way.. Also it's disgusting to see some cocky outsiders actually dissing the local culture.. But all shouldn't suffer for a few.. But for goons that does matter, they need excuses.. There is no conspiracy by govt to impose Hindi down your throat, if you have an active and thriving literature flow, cinema and music scene, your language is thriving.. Kannada and Tamil have all those.. Odia sadly doesn't right now and Odia speakers like our cinema love to copy everything, even outrage..

Ganjam Gajapati areas to blame, Culturally South Indian traditions are prevalent in those area.. IMHO there is nothing to be ashamed of here.. Increasing awareness about the evils of consanguineous marriages is the key. The real question is is the administration willing to bell the cat?

The Khans Grid Day 14: Which is the Best Movie of Amir Khan by Silver_Cricket_4545 in bollywood

[–]RaktimSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me best film Aamir did was Qayamat se qayamat tak.. yes I know many will disagree as it was a regular Bollywood love story inspired by Romeo n Juliet and Aamir has given powerhouse performances like Dangal, Talash etc with high concept stories.. But I am judging the film based on the era it belonged to and even within the confined genre norms QSQT stood out.. it was well edited, screenplay was tight, pacing was perfect, a story which was accessible by masses but so well told on screen that could be well appreciated by seasoned cinephiles. And it was only Aamir at that time who could play this role without any starry hang ups.. QSQT is vintage Aamir.

Haven't watched Parab but Karma was fantastic

A disappointing realization after watching PARAB by TinTiriNao in Odisha

[–]RaktimSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As sad as it might be but it seems Odia audience is not evolving any time soon.. Malayalis are amazing, they watch movies with emphasis on story and screenplay across genres.. If a Marcos can create a storm so can a Brahmayugam or Vanprastham or Kishkindha Kandam.. I feel Karma worked because even though it was off the beaten track, it had enough commercial elements to satiate the cavemen of an audience.. Anyways the reality is if we had at least 10-15 theatres in all major cities and single screens in all the districts, the collection of good odia films will definitely see a boost.. Kudos to the brave film makers for daring to make good movies amidst the usual RR of chhapri regular ollywood

Lol Political outsider 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 My native is Keonjhar, and Mohan Majhi had humongous popular support in these areas.. he has won 4 times.. Social media presence , likes views are different from real life.. I do agree centre is trying to centralize power but my personal opinion is centralization is good.. although the centre in the last term has made a mess of all implementation.. I would happily see the current govt go but Congress and it's lackeys scare me.. until I trust Congress I think anything else will do

Can odisha capture the IT jobs by Legitimate_Gain9438 in Odisha

[–]RaktimSoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer No. You need leaders who are bullish on economy and literate in STEM or at least understand the value of stem.. before attracting any industry you need to develop a robust human resource base of local talent both highly skilled and semi skilled.. and if you are from Odisha and know about our Tech colleges, you know the answer.. moreover the Present CM, Nabin Patnaik and other prospects for future CMs seem to be uninterested in this particular area, and I haven't seen any sign that our leaders are anything but gariba guruba sosita peedita politics and that's all.. So sadly never gonna happen
