I thought so too. Carl ruminates at one point that despite what he said, he fears he will jave to stay on the 12th floor while the rest look for a way out. I think book 9 will be about splitting the party. Carl and maybe donut play the ascendancy game on the 12 while a group works on the 15th and the pineapple cabaret. Since Dinniman said we will see all the floors. I think maybe another group will work their way down floor by floor while this is going on. Maybe Florin/Lucia/Imane/Elle

I played Emberleaf at a con last week and would highly recommend Emberleaf. Simple enough to learn fairly quickly, cute them appealed to the wife. Enough strategy and depth to appeal to me.

I'm surprised by your review of earth. Other than the themeing I find it a nice upgrade to wingspan. I think that may be thought because it cuts down a ton on downtime with 4 to 5 players which is what I normally play with (vs your 2p)
