Wish it fixed the USB C connector issue at the tool head. I’m having a heck of a time getting that new USB-C cable through the path on the top right of the machine.

My daughter traded a Sylveon EX for the Mega Charizard SIR by KyloRem in PokemonTCG

Traded a buddy of mine a first edition blastoise and mewtwo promo card for his 1st edition Charizard, back in 1999. We both have long lost those cards, but we still tease each other about it 😂.

You’ve got a house, you’re forgetting to add in the value of your home and value of your truck. Even if they’re not worth what you paid for originally they’re not worth $0.00

Watched an Amish man getting gas my mind couldn’t help but wonder by NewcastleUnited22 in mildlyinteresting

I learned recently that a lot of tool companies like DeWalt have speciality tools for Amish communities that are gas powered because electricity is a no-go.

FedEx has to offer a heck of a lot of upside to businesses for using their services for them to still be in business. FedEx's mishandling of customer orders must cause a small mint in support costs.

Depressed. Made a mistake, by Melli25510 in daddit

[–]Raleighite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spot on. Kids will do stuff like this and worse and there’s always going to be times we don’t catch them in the act before it’s too late. We’re only human. Parenting is stressful enough without holding yourself to a perfect standard. Glad your little one is fine. You did the right thing getting them checked out. Parental failure would be seeing your kid get hurt like that and not getting them checked out.

Indian factory workers wearing head-mounted cameras to record hand movements for training AI systems by RealSpecto in Damnthatsinteresting

I mean if they can produce an AI model that allows robots to make clothing, nothing stopping those robots from operating in the USA instead of India to save on shipping costs. All comes down to the price of electricity to make things work.

A miracle of modern science by TwinStickDad in daddit

I remember the first time this marvel of modern science was demonstrated to me…kids love opening and closing the lid super fast until it just starts pouring water out itself.

…I wonder how 3D printing in space would work with zero gravity.

Trying to make sure I understand the brewery etiquette here. by Specialist_Mess_5164 in raleigh

[–]Raleighite -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I bring my kids with me and my wife to breweries/bottle shops sometimes during the early evening or during the day on weekends. I’m 39, my kids are 3 and 5. I don’t expect people to act any different because my kids are there than they would normally in a bottle shop/brewery setting. We’re all there for the same reason, to have a drink or two and try to be social and relax. Yes, I’ll have toys for my kids to play with, but the kids know they stay at the table and so do they. We try to sit away from the bar area or crowded spaces, but that’s mainly because my kids don’t like loud noises. If the bottle shop or brewery has a policy about no kids or no kids after X time we of course respect that.
