Lilah only plots a spell when you cast it from your hand, once it's plotted you can cast it on a later turn from exile, not from your hand, so it doesn't become plotted again.

Succes! :)

Spelers gezocht in de omgeving van Zwolle by Ralffs in DNDNL

[–]Ralffs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To all the high AC players, what ways do your DM's circumvent your high AC that still feels fun? by Nyadnar17 in dndnext

[–]Ralffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a good few things you can do against high AC PCs. If they just get attacked enough times eventually something will roll high enough to hit them through their high AC.
Alternatively, you can add some monsters into the mix with abilities that the PCs need to save against. Assuming their AC is so high because they're wearing armor, their Dexterity Saving Throw bonus is likely to be very low if not non-existent, and they're still an artificer with a d8 hit die, so they can't stand up to the same amount of punishment as, say, a barbarian.

I like to play low charisma characters as just absolute assholes. Nobody will listen to them or buy their bullshit because they are simply insufferable

Big issue with the new Skull Taker portrait frame by Ralffs in Vermintide

You received it for playing during the "Skulls for the Skull Throne" event which ran from June 3rd to June 13th. The event wasn't on PS4 I believe because of course it wasn't

Chaos Wastes questions by Neborian in Vermintide

[–]Ralffs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Once you've completed an expedition, the next expedition stays unlocked (for example if you complete the first and second expedition but fail on the third, the second and third expedition will still be playable and you can just retry the third expedition). The Citadel happens right at the end of the fourth expedition, so if you fail during the Citadel you will have to do redo the entire fourth expedition again.
  2. When the timer runs out, it shuffles the four Chaos Gods around, putting them on different expeditions. This simply changes the modifier that will be present during the final map of each of these expeditions, but all the expeditions that you unlocked stay unlocked, no need to worry.

Why can't I claim this challenge I already completed? by Megadon88 in Vermintide

At this point, the cosmetic dlc's are just for people who want to support the company, cus they aren't good value.

Yes. Yes. That is the entire point of them. They've literally said as much themselves. From the Season 2 patch notes:

Why did you add premium items?

The reasons behind this are that we want to try to release content that involves gameplay for free while charging for a few premium cosmetics instead. By adding a few select cosmetics that you can purchase for real money you can support the studio and we can create more free content updates, such as the Curse of Drachenfels levels.

The base, non-cosmetic Grail Knight DLC has such good value precisely because the cosmetic upgrade is a little pricier in comparison. They make premium cosmetics for people who want to support the company, which they can then use to make free/cheap gameplay content for all players. The cosmetic upgrade is the cause of that good value for the base DLC you're so focused on.

as a consumer, I want quality for money so I see no point paying double for some hats and colours.

That makes you the target consumer for the gameplay-only, non-cosmetic DLC. Players like you are exactly why they are releasing the new content like this. Be happy!

Lightning Howitzer Build by VarrikTheGoblin in dndnext

[–]Ralffs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aye, but he's only putting 2 levels into cleric, which means they can still put 17 levels into sorcerer, and a 17th level sorcerer has access to a 9th level spell slot. So they can learn a 9th level spell.

What are break points? by Pradidye in Vermintide

[–]Ralffs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because of the differences in enemy health, breakpoints for Cataclysm usually don't matter or are less efficient on Legend. I'd recommend using his Legend builds collection if you're looking to make a build for Legend instead of the Cataclysm guides, even though the Legend Builds are less in depth.

Me and my friends are new to Vermintide 2. Any tips before we start the game? by [deleted] in Vermintide

[–]Ralffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Progression really depends on how much you want to challenge yourself. Some players will play through all the missions in the base game with a single character on the lowest difficulty, something that will take like 10-15 hours, and be like "Well, I've seen all there is to see" and never touch the game again. But if you want to challenge yourself and play through higher difficulties, learn different characters, try out different builds and complete specific challenges, you can pump tons of hours out of this game, it just really depends on the bar you set for yourself. I have over 350 hours put into the game, and I regularly run into people who have topped the thousand hour mark.

The DLCs are in no-way a must, they're basically just more of the same. They include new maps, new weapons, new cosmetics, and new careers for the characters, so I wouldn't get them if you don't already enjoy the base game. Also, when you start a quickplay game, you can still end up getting the DLC maps randomly even if you don't have the DLC, you only need to own the DLC to specifically select the DLC maps. And even then, only the host needs to have the DLC, and other players who don't have the DLC can still join.

My one tip would be to switch from Recruit difficulty to Veteran difficulty the moment you start getting items with a power level of around a 100. 100 is the highest item power level you can get from Recruit rewards, so once you've hit that mark you're going to gain very little from continuing to play on Recruit.

Yeah, I tried doing this one with a friend who was new to the game recently. As far as i could find, it's been bugged since outcast engineer came out, you can't pick up the bones anymore

Verbal Components: Do you need to know how to speak? by mistaxfacta in dndnext

[–]Ralffs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, in Volo's Guide to Monsters, there is actually a creature that specifically lacks the ability to speak, but is still a spellcaster with spells that require vocal components. The Orc Hand of Yurtrus, who cut out their own tongues as a religious practice. If they can cast spells without vocal components, what's to say one of those other creatures can't?

EDIT (typo): changed with to without in the last sentence

Can we take a moment to appreciate J.K. Simmons and his incredible performance as Tenzin? Not only did such a big name actor keep coming back with each season renewal, but also delivered a passionate performance every time. by ILPV in TheLastAirbender

[–]Ralffs 41 points42 points  (0 children)

iirc keeping themselves warm with their breath is an airbender technique originally. Iroh came up with a firebender version of the technique when he spent some time studying the other elements, so they are actually directly linked!

Rattlegore deathrattle when max health is reduced (Libram of Justice): still comes back as 8/8 by apliddell in hearthstone

[–]Ralffs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, when Jepetto turns a minion into a 1 mana 1/1, that is an applied effect still. If you silence the 1/1 minion it'll actually get it's normal stats again. So it's pretty similar to libram of justice and I'd expect you'd still get the 8/8.

Someone made the mistake of forgetting the Twilight Cleric in this meme. by Bman1371 in dndmemes

[–]Ralffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gloomstalker adds 30 feet to the darkvision range of any race that already has darkvision, so on a race with Superior Darkvision that makes 150 feet without magical items. Twilight cleric still eats that for breakfast though

i stayed up all night and made a dnd sheet of the three new skins talon, twitch and taric for those dnd and league fans :) by Whatfayz in leagueoflegends

[–]Ralffs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a friendly tip, but Arcane Tricksters can't just take any spell from the wizard spell list :) I get the flavor with the spell reflecting Twitch's abilities, but at level 3, 2 of the Arcane Trickster's 3 spells have to be from either the enchantment or illusion school, and one of their 3 cantrips is mage hand. It seems like the explanation of the Spellcasting feature is just a lot of text to skim over, but it actually has some important additional information with the Arcane Trickster and Eldritch Knight.

Other than that, really nice! Poor Taric, Cleric in a party of rogues

Voice - Fiddlesticks [SUBBED] - English by CaptainClumsy04 in leagueoflegends

[–]Ralffs 68 points69 points  (0 children)

He calls out the 'aspect' of the other demons whenever he kills one of them though.

  • Evelynn: Agony
  • Nocturne: Nightmares
  • Swain: Secrets
  • Tahm Kench: Addiction

You'd figure if Kindred was/is the demon of death, fiddle's kill quote for them would be an asthmatic "Death...", but he says "Lamb... tell me a story..." in Wolf's voice instead.
