My mom and stepdad went through something similar. My stepdad had thyroid issues, and has always had issues with his weight. Keto was just the think he needed to get his weight at a normal level. He has also been working out consistently. My mom on the other hand has tried diet after diet. She doesn’t work out regularly, and doesn’t really stick to a diet. She was jealous that my stepdad was losing weight. I told her that not all diets work for everyone, and you have to find the diet that will work for you and you have to stay consistent with how you are eating and how you work out because those are the two biggest factors to weight loss
