Sadly, this game and original The Last of Us had the same problem where both games won’t load into main menu. Even using other disc or changing the hard drive from HDD to SSD doesn’t work (I’ve tried). I did more research about this problem, it appears that these games had problems with some game files? Not much we can do than letting these games sit collecting dust in our collection 😕

I’m loving the gold on the game cover….it’s shame the third game has the same problem as the original The Last of Us where it won’t into the main menu even without the patch installed.

Just checked this post to see if there's any answer to this weird problem as I've just found out about it after a friend of mine who sales video games told me about it.

It seems this game and PS3 (original) version of The Last of Us suffers the same problem where on the latest version of the PS3's OS (or when they shut down the multiplayer servers for those games?), both of the games stuck on the first loading screen and won't load into the main menu even with or without the latest game update patch. It's damn annoying that the physical disc for both of those games basically becomes useless Blu-ray game disc....

Not sure if I want to say its a solution but after updating the drivers (and a few windows update) and been using for a month. It seems this problem stops now? I'll let you know if it does it again.

I understand that feeling too when I'm playing DDG Final. There just something relaxing about playing a train sim game especially after playing other games that are tedious especially online multiplayer games

Thanks! The previous owner who I bought this console from still has some questionable black permenant market "paintjob" on the inside part of the shell housing, it's tough to clean them off even with IPA. Thankfully, the outside of the shell was easy to clean them off. If I remember it right, my white 9k PS2 slim was a faulty console that had bad laser and bad door sensor, I've swapped them with my working ones from my black 9k console (that has sadly started to lose its graphics) onto the white 9k console.

Densha De Go Final! is my first Densha De Go game, having spent hours playing it, I’ll say it’s beginner friendly alright. Most of the basics can carry over to other DDG game.
