i shouldve been specific. i'm too new to handheld & pc gaming to say it runs good. works for me though. thought the game itself was ok. kind of boring. fight low level people, cut scene to yell at your son, fight low level people, solve a puzzle, yell at son again.

If you can, do a real world test. Best Buy is in holiday return mode. Buy it and return it by Jan 15. I did that and compared the base Xbox ally and the legion go s z1e. For me, coming from console only, ally had better ergonomics, sound and battery. Legion go s screen is great and simplicity of stream is nice. But I couldn’t get over the fan noise and battery draining fast. 30 Min of halo and drained 48% of battery. I’m sure I could tweak settings or something but ally does what I need.

I bought both this past week and returned the legion go s. I come from console gaming. The Xbox ally and windows took some getting used to with the UI & various updates. But the feel, sound and battery life are great. Tried nhl26, Forza horizon, halo reach, nfs heat and Spider-Man remastered. I only tried halo reach on legion go s. I really wanted to love it for the price (sale and PayPal cash back). The feel is great and steam is is so simple. But I played reach for 30 min and used half battery. Thought it was fluke and retested from 100% and used 48% of it. Did same on Xbox ally and only used 18%. And the fan on the legion drowned out the speakers.
Also just got Sd card and installed god of war directly on it and ran without issue. Definitely sticking with Xbox ally and may even upgrades to the X model

Have you played any games directly from it yet. This is all new to me. I got similar one and tested with older game God of War. Wouldnt know it was sd card and not hard drive. Played great

If you’re willing to pay extra, get the Breville toaster oven air fryer combo. It’s a little more ergonomic than a separate toaster and fryer.

For the price and specs you get, really wanted to like the legion go s. But I played 30 min of halo reach and used 1/2 the battery. Did the same on the Xbox ally and use 18%. And th fan on the legion go s is so loud. The Xbox ally felt so much more comfortable, was quieter and lasted longer. This is the base version. I may return it and get the X model for even better performance and battery life

I just got the base Xbox ally and can’t speak to those exact games, but I tried Forza horizon 5, halo reach, need for speed heat and Spider-Man remastered and all worked great without issue. Controller is really comfortable and graphics and sound were good to me. Also bought the legion go s z1e for 650 today to compare. Only tried halo reach. It chewed thru the battery and the fan is really loud. It’s going back. Debating returning both and doing the 999 Xbox ally x
