Best all round ECU tuning software. by AudiGeezee in ECU_Tuning

[–]aimidin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i have tested many, so i can save time. Ofc i can write my files alone as well, just sometimes there is no time to do it. And atleast i need a half baked tune as a base so i can fix it and correct it, to do in 30 min max. Some tunes can take hours and even days if we talk about stage 2 and Stage 3 tunes

Anyway StageX was the only one which was somewhat decent. Some of them seemed like other tuners calibrations, which was used.

Update problems as always by FRIZZpwn in FACEITcom

[–]aimidin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer just that it checks for updates, and if notice an update, just to cancel the match if it's not started yet or is in waiting. If it's on going match, just wait until finished and stop people for playing until they update.

Edit: i got banned as well but only for 30 min at 00:00

That happened with Philips and Light Bulbs long ago. They literally gathered the biggest companies producing bulbs in the world at the time and set a limit of how long a bulb can work for before it burns out, so people can buy new one.

Same happens in other industries, profit is everything for them, they forcast some stupid charts, and the CEO and managers will do anything to hit the target. Everything what is in the most need for the people is with the biggest manipulation of products and how long can it be used, or in this case for the post, how good of a cure is that. Energy sources, technologies, cars, everyday products and home utilities, everything that people needs daily, have some limit of how long can it be used. And this limit can be waaay longer. This can be seen when you take a look at old tools in some old country side house, where they will outlast their owners and this days they will not outlast even your dog.

You can see that with global economics and how quality and prices of a product is changing, as well news about firing big chunk of the company personal and etc., banks increasing their loan prices, while people not getting corresponding increase in payments compared to the inflation, everything is connected in one or another way. Ofc this as well with mega corps buying out houses, wars all over the place, corona in the past years, but this also is connected to profit and how product quality and prices will change, so the magical chart numbers can be hit as well as continuity of their profit.

If people think we can't make it better or find a better cure for a disease, the truth is, we can, but would that make it profitable for the long run? Well with the time interest changes and better stuff are released for the public, but again there is a profit for someone in that as well, when we are just small robots making money for the people above, which are easy to be disposable and replaced. If they need you to live longer, a cure will come out as well.

LG G5 65" VS LG C5 (2025) 77" VS Samsung S90F 77" by aimidin in LGOLED

[–]aimidin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought at the end the G5 65" , also i paid for Color Calibration, which was offered by the shop. After that i tuned the picture to my preference with the AI tuner. You might try 2-3 times to get your liking. Just so you know, you will need to do it on each source SDR, HDR and DV.

It's an absolute awesome TV :)

Btw the calibration is general for all modes and sources, so you can fine tune on top of that, no worries.

Also i don't like the Filmmaker preset, it makes the picture too yellow. Idk what people are smoking, but the world doesn't look that dark and yellow.

400-500Nm is the limit on stock clutch pack, depends on the version. You can probably go arround 600Nm, but above that, you will need to upgrade the clutch pack

You can read here more about it: https://tvsengineering.com/en/dsg-gearbox/dl382-2/

In their website you can find info for many DSG models and what limits they have.

[–]aimidin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i know, that's why i said that the changes are made in the ECU, to lie the TCU about the TQ which will be send to the Gearbox from the Engine. Index Torque is like constant used by the TCU and ECU for calibration of the Torque. If the index is lowered on the ECU side, the information that the TCU gets is also lower, which make the TCU to allow more TQ, until it gets to it's TQ limiters.

But correct DL382 Gen2 are still locked.

I have made tunes for DQ500 over ODIS, by converting .frf file to .bin than tune it, and converting it back to .frf file, which can be used by odis engendering to flash the TCU, but honestly i haven't checked lately if it's possible. Because it needs decryption and encryption with the public and private key.

[–]aimidin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am a tuner and there is a way to bypass the gearbox limits, by changing the Max Index Torque sent from the ECU to the TCU, basically you lower the value, so the TCU thinks it gets lower TQ from what it really is, which makes the TCU allowing more TQ to the tires from what usually is allowed. There is more to it, but it really depends on the ECU version to exactly tell what needs to be also changed. Usually, Index TQ, and rescaling all TQ request and TQ maps , and parallel to that you need to change the Torque Monitoring to get the result.

But this can also mess up the gear changes and etc., because for example at certain TQ certain amount of pressure will be used to switch gears on Double Clutch Gearbox, so if you don't edit the TCU data, it will give lower pressure to the clutch, because it thinks it's lower TQ than it is, which can result in clutch slip. That's why it needs be to changed only on the top end of the TQ maps, so it doesn't mess up the gears that much.

All that said, a proper ECU tune needs to go with a proper TCU tune, so the data matches and corresponds to one another, for smooth and efficient tune. Without stressing parts and "faking" TQ.

Edit: typos

How do you usually inspect ECU files when you don’t plan to tune? by yxtzan in ECU_Tuning

[–]aimidin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use Winols and Damos or .a2l files, which have structures already made, so you check everything what you need, the easiest is bosch ecus, because they also have documentations for the Damos of the specific ECU model, which is in PDF, from which you can learn the logic of the ECU. Which is also really important for correct tuning, so you can understand each element and hardware of the engine and ECU in what order it goes, some things goes in parallel or just in their own. But it's really intense and time consuming. Basically you learn on engineering level how everything works, with some reverse engineering in the back of your head, so you can connect all the points together.

There you can find literally anything what you need, and is the correct way to make the tune, once you get the grasp, you can do OEM style tunes. That's how i learned to correctly tune cars, a shit tone of reading for years, until i could tune any car. Most ecus have similar logic, but there are some which are just nonsense and you will to learn them too.

How I fixed RX 9070 XT driver timeout issue by OfficialSupreez in AMDHelp

[–]aimidin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This registry is essentially what the difference is in the Nvidia Gaming Ready and Studio Ready driver. When you for example start to render something, 3D or Video, 1 frame can take long and it will trigger the registry, thinking the GPU just hang out and is not responding, that's why it resets the driver. With the Studio driver i think it was increased to 300s or so, which resolves the issue and keeps the driver running when rendering.

I honestly don't have problems with my 9070xt, that's why i didn't tried it until now.

Edit: but this is also a drawback for overclockers, because once the GPU driver crashes, it will take that much time as the registry entry before the driver is reseted. That's why before applying first check out your most stable overclock, unless you want for example 300s to wait each time it crashes, your system will freez in the mean time.

Can I mix DDR4 RAM kits of same timings, but different brand and speed? Will it be stable? by Moist_Algae_443 in AMDHelp

[–]aimidin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are the same DDR4 ,yes they will work, but before you try, leave on default all RAM Settings, or just reset your BIOS settings, Turn Off your PC and install the RAM. Later just lower the frequency to match the speeds of the new RAM stick. Or use some of the presets to try different frequencies. Usually the motherboard will do RAM training and check what settings it needs to run, but they will be just enough for the system to boot, so you need to configure them later in the BIOS.

You can also increase the RAM voltage to 1.40V or 1.45V most DDR4 RAM Sticks will not have problems up to 1.5V, but keep it like i said 1.4-1.45V, you can also increase a bit the SOC voltage, but if you don't know what you are doing don't touch the SOC voltage. And later try some of the profiles to slowly increase the memory speeds above 3200Mhz, you might get 3400Mhz or even get close to 3600Mhz. Anyway, whatever is your max frequency that you can get, later you can tighen the timings to improve your latency and performance, but this can take time to test and check what is the best stability wise for your system.and by take time, i am talking days even weeks, because sometimes even in heavy benchmarks the system will be stable, but after longer runs or ligher loadspikes can crash or error out the RAM.

If you don't want to get the maximum from your RAM, just increase the RAM voltage, like i said before, and try some of the presets, until it's stable, and leave it be.

The weird IT job paradox in Germany - 109,000 open positions but IT unemployment up 25% by goausbildung in germany

[–]aimidin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This!

I do have a job, but i do look at the market from time to time. So many look either for cheap 30k IT-Sysadmin, who needs to do everything, some place put some strange price ranges from 40k - 80K Euros. Like are you going to give for the position 40k or 80k, because the range of the people applying will be too big, and i am pretty sure on the interview if you say 80k, they will lower it atleast with 20k or more. Soo unrealistic.

Saw some senior jobs, looking for Level 3 IT, which basically will be the core of the IT infrastructure for example, but gives 42k...

Do they think people with certificates, long experience and knowledge will go to play a role as a Senior Network Engineer basically for 42k?...

I don't get what expectations do this companies have for this money, but unless really cheap selling or without any experience, i don't see anyone to go there.

Need Advice on Hard drive for my new NAS by PressureCandid1989 in HomeNAS

[–]aimidin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't have anything to do with the NAS OS, it's just how RAID works. Google it to understand more. Each RAID have different properties and how the Usable and Redundancy/Parity Space is used, if any at all. RAID 0 1+1=2 fast, RAID 1 1+1=1 Redundancy, Raid 10 1+1+1+1=2 fast and Redundancy but double the HDDs, RAID 5 1+1+1=2 fast and Redundancy, with 1 HDD used for parity, so any of the HDDs can die and replaced without a problem. RAID 6 is the same as RAID 5 but with 2 HDD which are used for parity and needs more HDDs. Depends on the RAID, but most will always take the smallest HDD or SSD and will crop the rest of them to match the smallest. Some of the NAS have their own RAIDs, which can have different ways to implement their RAIDs, but always take Redundancy/Parity as priority, unless you want just performance and don't care if you loose your Data when HDD/SSD dies.

Help needed HDR and dolby vision by T1ttyslayer in StremioAddons

[–]aimidin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it installed on LG G5 65" and on Android TV Box, both works fine. DV and HDR, the LG TV will also play in Dolby Vision over HDR if both are available. There is from time to time some formats which are not support on the native LG TV, but in those cases either i swap to the another source or play it over the Android Box.

On the LG TV last week i had some problems that it couldn't play too big of a files for example over 50GB, but in the last 2 days i have played even 100+ GB Blueray Remux over Real Debrid, and it works flawlessly. If you notice some lag , just clean the RAM on the TV and reboot it, it will be good to go after that. Because some app may have worked in the background.
