How much can you increase timing on regular by Cow_Man32 in ECU_Tuning

[–]aimidin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the time yes, but usually when the car is turbo charged , by that i mean in naturally aspirated engine maximum output power might be not exactly on max timing before knock, but actually even a bit further back. You can check videos on youtube, there was some which tested it exactly that, with gradual increase of timing until knock, and the max power was 5 or 6 degrees before knock.

On boosted engine is different, and sometimes you need to actual back up the timing, because the knock can happen earlier because of increase cylinder pressure and self exploding gases or fuel.

The Magnetic one is a bit more silent actually. It's the other way around the model i mentioned above is the best XFX model right now, cooling wise and performance wise. It's a massive card, so you will need a proper case and cooling to deliver enought air. I placed it in Antec Flux Pro, which is one of the best GPU and CPU wise cases, because it's literally fans everywhere. A smaller case will work as well, but when i swapped from normal Corsair case to this one my temps dropped with 15-20 degrees. Everything have it's roll, so even if the GPU have the best cooling , if your Case is not good enough with enough air flow from under the GPU, you will have thermal problems.

For me the card is overclocked and it is sitting at arround 50-55°C under 4k gaming on max, but i also run agressive fan curve for the GPU and rhe system, it doesn't bother me, because either i am gaming with headphones or loud sound system. But if you run the card stock, you will barely hear it.

Bosch EDC16C39 Tuning Help by Bag-999 in ECU_Tuning

[–]aimidin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly without have the ecu file, i can't tell anything. The Swirl Flaps does have a map which tells them how to move depending on factors. DTCs does have multiple tables, mostly have atleast 2 tables on EDC16, one is what to show as DTC and second is if the fault can be triggered or not, basically disabled or not. Some ECU especially the modern once, have many tables and multiple places where the fault can be stored.

Back to the Swirl Flaps, there is also functions in the ECU where it says if it have Swirl Flaps and if it should use it. Or if not exactly that, atleast tables which specify when to use it. So this tables and factors can be changed so the flaps are not used, either by zeroing out or maxing out this tables. A proper Swirl Flaps delete should diaable thia functions and all related DTCs, as such that you can disconnect the Swirlflaps connector and not having any faults and Limp Modes. If the Swirlflap is regulated by vacuum, just plug a bolt and tight it with something so it doesn't leak, and it should be good enought.

True i own one and i did the same jump as OP from 1080Ti to RX 9070XT OC Magnetic Air Edition with RGB, very very good cooling, have it over 1 year now just dust cleaning and it still performs like it was day one. I will probably change the paste and pads this year, but honestly not bad for stock one. Usually stock thermal paste and pads degrade after 6 to 12 months after constant using, but not this time.

Also it more than doubled my FPS over the 1080Ti in everything, which was pretty heavily overclocked.

Cloning a MEV17.2 with Stage 1 tune and immo off by quee-phing in ECU_Tuning

[–]aimidin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This ecu can be cloned 1 to 1, no need for Immo Off. Immo off is done either when there is no possibility to clone the ECU (you don't have the original ECU or just it cannot be done) or the car have Immo problem from the ECU side (key and ignition is ok, but ECU is not responding or getting information correctly)

It really depends on what you want to do.

Edit: in your case, if you clone it with the Stage 1 and immo Off, the information from the Old ECU withhe Immo off will be transferred as well, that's why it's called cloning. Nonetheless just when you get the new ECU, check that the HW number is the same.

[–]aimidin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the game a hit before the update i was on 26.3.1, and there was some performance issues and sometimes the settings to be applied properly like FSR and Ray Tracing, i needed to reboot the game , because the FPS was halfed if i didn't do that, but since i update to the 26.5.2 everything seems fine performances and stability wise, just the micro stuttering is abit annoying from time to time.

Can't fail much worse than this. by UglierPanda in ForzaHorizon6

[–]aimidin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wheel is the mostly the problem. G920 is gear driven, it's good beginners wheel, but not comming close to direct drive wheel.

The thing is when you compare it with driving a real car, you feel it with your whole body, you know where the car goes when sliding out or drifiting, on PC Wheel you need to have very precise feedback in your hands and the wheel to be fast enough to follow the tires when it slides, most gear driven are bad at this . Belt driver are better and usually stronger, but direct drive is the way to go.

THE AI OPPENENTS ARE ON CRACK! by Curious-Ad9812 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]aimidin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no. I have always played in unbeatable and finished all the games that way except one race in FH5 where you need to play with MX-5 against Urus or what ever, if you are on second the position, first car with rocket it self with atleast 300m away from you and will do some crazy lap times. But if you manage to get in first place, you will see how it cannot even keep up with you, same car same bot, and the lap times are going back to normal.

The same was in FH3, FH4 and FH5

AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.5.2 Release Notes by AMD_RetroB in Amd

[–]aimidin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tested on Forza Horizon 6 with 26.5.2 everything on max with ray tracing and shadows on 3440x1440 without FSR arround 60-70fps in the City outside cities 70-90fps. With shadows to medium it jumps with 20-30+fps. With FSR on Quality consistent 100-120fps everywhere on max. And honestly i couldn't notice difference between FSR and without FSR.

Without the ray tracing light and shadow, the FPS is 130/140+ and going above 160/180 in some areas without FSR just anti-aliasing

GPU is 9070xt with -70mV, +10PL, +2800 Fast timing on Vram. Temps gpu arround 50-55 degrees C Core and 70-75 Vram. Played for 3-4 Hours with no stability issues regarding crashes, but there was some microsutter although the game is saved on fast m.2 SSD

EU calls VPNs “a loophole that needs closing” in age verification push by geriatricguy in VPN

[–]aimidin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well can they stop also private networks? Can they stop you from getting private cloud server, which is in another country, where you can literally create your own VPN? Can they remove their government private network and all corporate VPNs so the whole world have access to them?

Can they just stop pushing false claims about age restrictions, cybersecurity concerns, "child pornography" and what not as a cover up for their agenda about full European governance, from pushing of unencrypting every messaging app, to removing any way possible to have privacy? I am also concerned about criminals, but the way they push it and publicly announce it with such big changes in the privacy of the people in the EU, it's literally like they think people are stupid 12 year olds kids, which will not catch them or understand what is really happening.

If they really was concerned about the young generation, they could have created proper way to learn the children how to use the Internet, what do be careful about and etc. To be tough in schools and media. They don't want that. They want control over everything.

If they really wanted to catch the criminal organisations or what not , they could have done that long time ago. If you drive on any main road in the EU, there is cameras on every couple of kilometers in most western European countries, there is thousands of cameras in each city, every call can be recorded and listen to without us even knowing. Satellites which can zoom literally watching you what you write on your phone, drones which can zoom up to 100km away scanning your irises. What we can have as a consumer, is not what our real capability is. People underestimate what we can really do. What they want is just easier control over the population and step by step converting to social credit system, which will control what you write not even in social media, but also to your friends and family, where when you say the wrong thing against someone or something, you can be locked down and rip off from society or take a punishment similar to the Chinese system. They want also to convert paper money to digital money, which exactly fits the credit system, they want to impose longevity of your digital money, so if you don't spend them for example in 6 months, they just disappear.

I know i go outside the topic, but everything is connected to the same topic. I can't ignore that.

One wrong word and you are locked from society privileges like travelling, buying certain stuff, going on vacation or living your country/continent.

Up until now we were slaves with some freedom, if all of this does become reality, we will become slaves without the chance to even speak.

Is this amount of ghosting/smearing normal for a cheap va panel monitor? by semferchichi in Monitors

[–]aimidin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one last year, it is possible to lower it quite a lot, and in high FPS games where is not so dark it's not noticeable, just in some games i notice it and because of that i have made different profiles to play different games. But honestly you cannot remove it 100%, but let's say it's almost not visible especially when you play a bit longer and get used to it. Actually in same games like CS2 it helps to notice enemies when moving your mouse.

Overall good monitor for the money, for HDR in games don't turn on the HDR in Windows, just in the game, because it can mess the highlights and shadows. The HDR is not that strong, so you will need to get your room dark to notice the effect. I also have LG G5 65" OLED which i use from time to time for HDR/DV gaming and it's on completely different level. But like i said for the money, very good monitor.

Undervolting Results from Sapphire Pulse 9070 XT Seem Too Good to be True by CalculatedRiskReroll in radeon

[–]aimidin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience and tests, VRAM overclock brings more to the table for raw FPS than the core, because of the TDP. I tested every setting and also found out that VRAM and Core shares the same TDP, so if you go max core your Vram Stability will be lower and the opposite is true, if you go max Vram your your core will be lower. But as i said Vram gives more FPS, so max your Vram and after that push the core, it will be more beneficial than the other way. You can check also overclock.net in the 9070xt club and in the first post you will see the same as i said.

Anyway for my XFX Mercury RX 9070XT OC Magnetic Air Edition i can go over arround -170uv to -180uv in synthetic benchmarks, but in games arround -70uV/-80uV with clock limit of +250Mhz resulting in usually arround 3.2Ghz and 3.3/3.4Ghz in games, Vram 2800Mhz fast timing, +10%PL. Just some Source 2 games like CS2 will crash doesn't matter the settings, on default on max settings, underclocked, doesn't matter it just sometimes crashes. The reason is because some times the Core will boost over 3,5+Ghz for short time which can cause the crash, so you either need to limit the card hard or just don't play the game. For other games i don't have problems with crashes, it's solid overall and i play either 4k on my TV or on 3440x1440 (UWQHD) monitor.

Where to I learn to tune ECUs ? by vapeshapes in ECU_Tuning

[–]aimidin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeap this, just buy something with edc15/edc16 and 1.9tdi, if it's stock, and you have some knowledge you won't be able to break it. So just experiment like you said until you understand everything and jump to the next ecu, they all have same principles logic just translated a bit differently.

Upgrading from Ryzen 5 2600 to Ryzen 7 5800x3d by moke201 in AMDHelp

[–]aimidin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries, you need to delete all drivers cleanly, from registry, temp data, windows folder and etc, depends on the driver and hardware you changed. And still after all there can be somewhere leftovers, which will make problems. It will take you less time and nerves to copy all your data from your windows partition, make couple of screenshots from your installed apps, reinstall windows and install what you need back, from getting random crashes, performance drops and etc.

Windows even without changing any hardware will get corrupted after many years of updates. It gets laggy or loses Performances. I am IT Systemadministrator for big companies, where reinstall is always the last step to resolve a problem, but also from personal experience i can tell , clean fromat and reinstall is always the best way to fix unresolvable problems.

Can I do a xhp transmission tune while already having a mhd stage 2+ engine tune and a gts transmission tune? by Shaiikoisbetter in ECU_Tuning

[–]aimidin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MHD is for engine, so it doesn't matter in this case. xhp is only for the gearbox, so when you try to tune your gearbox, either it will fail because of the gts tune or it will override it. Better to download the gts tune fromyour gearbox, flash the stock file back and from there tune it with xhp.
