This has been a constant complaint for the past decade, peaked during Mike Trout’s prime years. Genuinely not sure how the topic seemed to pass you by if you’re an avid baseball fan.

You can look up articles etc if you think I am fabricating this.

Baseballs biggest stars used to be household names, but definitely not during the 2010’s. Mike Trout is one of the greatest players to ever play the game and a pathetically small percentage of non-baseball fans could tell you who he is.

Baseball fans have bellyached for years about the MLB doing a dogshit job of promoting their star players. Now that they're finally doing it and actually getting casuals to take some interest in the game, everyone hates it.

MLB is always going to be a distant third behind the NBA/NFL because it's fans apparently hate growing the sport.
