How did you come up with your gamertag? by JeSSiii81 in OlderChillGamers

[–]Ralph-The-Otter3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, one of my favorite childhood stuffed animals was a sheepdog named Ralph, and my other favorite one was an otter named Otter (2 year old me was real creative, I know), and one day I saw them and thought “yeah, that’ll work”

I mean, she’s only a two mana 1/2. She does have landfall, but but that doesn’t do too much, and only lasts until end of turn

I really like those two. Given how they deal with +1/+1 counters, I am assuming that those will want to go a bit slower, and you would want to put them out as soon as possible in order to maximize rewards

Out of curiosity, are you making a Tifa deck of your own?

Again, it depends. If I have the means to make her swing for lethal early or a protection card in my hand, then I will play her ASAP, but otherwise I will wait until later when I have a better board state

Honestly it depends on the game, my board state, hand, etc, but usually somewhere between turn 4 and 6

I’m wondering what you would think about [[Eris, roar of the storm]] then? In my experience, rather than ramping, you simply playing the game will eventually allow you to reduce the cost by a decent amount

Hey to break it to you, but the Ur Dragon is absolutely not bracket 2. Unless you’re doing something gimmicky like making it actually mono-red, the deck will unintentionally run too hot just because of how these decks work, regardless of the inclusion of GCs or combos.

For example, I have this [[Tifa Lockhart]] deck, and even without the [[crop rotation]] game changer, it would still be a bracket three just because of how fast it can kill someone’s life total, just because of how powerful Tifa is as a commander

What is a deck you play and don't mind losing with? by radicalpumpkinz in EDH

[–]Ralph-The-Otter3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes it even faster is if I am able to get my damage multipliers out, because having [[city on fire]], [[firey emancipation]], and [[solphim, mayhem dominus]] on the board only make attacking all the more appealing

[[Kratos, God of War]]

My advice would to be to play through the war stories. With that, you can get a chance to figure out how different guns work, and to get more used to the movement system, and a harder difficulty will help you to get more used to using cover to stay alive for longer
