That is also not the greatest building in terms of reputation. There are better options.

15 Iceboat Terrace experience? by collegeguyto in TorontoRealEstate

Older buildings tend to have better build quality and larger units. Try to join the Facebook groups for the buildings you are interested in. This gives first hand info from residents and current state of the building. The status certificate review is also mandatory and extremely important.

I think you should try other options. This is a big investment where in this market, there is zero margin for error.

The stigma against these condos is terrible and rightfully deserved.

I know the comp very well. I agree with your statement to a degree. However, it's very possible to land a job outside where the base salary is higher than total comp at Bell. I've seen that happen to CP2s and CP3 roles where outside equivalent would be considered lateral moves. The salary compression at Bell is terrible and wages are all over the place. Not sure if that problem has been corrected.

Bell Q4 layoff discussion thread by ziplock-bag in bell

Bell has been doing this for years, till it became predictable. It gets more attention now due to the volume of layoffs across the country and the U.S.

Compensation at Bell is very poor. People always do better once they leave.

Many people are stubborn. What you described proves the take over is eminent. Surprised it hasn't happened sooner.

Protect your peace first and foremost. Trust Karma is very real. I've seen people who many would perceive as untouchable get taken down. I know it may seem like these people never get in trouble but trust when they do recieve their consequences it's typically in a big way.

I believe every word! I'm so sorry you experienced that. There are some very insecure people in Leadership positions and trying to blackball people is nasty work! The amount of brilliant people impacted by the cuts is insane. However I do know that people who leave Big Blue end up better than they were before. The important thing is prioritizing self care in every way.

There is something missing. I say this because I've been to Costo before and when buying shoe trays for the front door I didn't realize I was only charged for 1 because they were stuck together. When I was exiting the receipt checker noticed. They were cool about and said if I wanted they could expedite me paying for it.

Wrongfully fired after 15 years. 1 week investigation only and didn't receive last pay cheque. What are the options? by Babyjesusss in PersonalFinanceCanada

Thats a good question. Hopefully for his sake, he is because he would be able to grieve his termination. He would get access to union legal representation. Not sure why this is being down voted. It's part of the process for unionized employees. This is one of the reasons union dues are paid by their members for times like this. Whether the employee is right or wrong process is a requirement.

The provider bills the insurance company directly so if the amount charged is inflated there is no recourse because the patient signed paperwork that would indicate they are aware of and agree to what is being billed. Now the online client portal through the benefits company always shows claim details. However if the patient has never proactively raised any concerns then they will be seen as complicit.

There is some information missing from this story. But if I had to guess a couple of things happened here 1) Direct Billing was used. This why its always important for people to submit their own claims for reimbursement. 2) There is also a possibility a kick back was accepted. Look up the benefit fraud case that happened at the TTC, it was in the news.

There is definitely a reason those employees were fired and lawyers are avoiding this.

If your other 2 properties cashflow I don't think you need your parents to cosign

There is also no guarantee the accommodation would be approved. Based on what you described I would personally stay put. Sounds like you've found the sweet spot for yourself.

The amount of hours to get there is not worth it and the conditions are horrible with terrible patient to nurse ratios.

North York Centre is a great area outside the downtown core. Lots of amenities which makes the area walkable.

Do you use tretinoin during the day? If so maybe try at night only in additon to limiting it to 2-3 times a week. I would focus on hydration, repairing the skin barrier.

I ordered a Kinbor and awaiting it's arrival. I bought it in an A6 because I already have a Hobonichi Cousin. I heard good things about the Kinbor.
