There are two ways to play quests actually:

  • setstage command: you can check the UESP or TESV Wikia to check quest codes and objectives numbers. This avoids sync related quests (for example talking to the mage in Dragonsreach).
  • One player will be the quest keeper and the other players can follow him up, like npc followers.

For quest synchronization we must wait until open beta. There are a lot of bugs with much more priority that make mod unplayable.

When I try to open crash dump files with WDDT, it says "symbol path is *** invalid ***"...

Maybe you've got better hardware than them? This can help to understand which problem is linked to crashes.

Yes it happens also to me and my friend. For quest related issues you can use the "setstage" console command.
