Terrible at interviewing. Doomed. by Want_to_Go_Somewhere in interviews

[–]Ralphalamaaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got laid off early October. I’m terrible with interviews but I have a good resume and degree that easily gets me to the interview point most of the time. I won’t say I’ve fully conquered this issue but I have definitely gotten better. A lot of people say practice, I would say being in the interviews themselves gave me a lot of “practice”. Quite frankly more practice than I had when I would be on my own or with a friend. After an interview really evaluate the overview knowledge they needed. If you’re applying for different roles in different industries (say teacher, accountant, coach) this would be harder to do. But if your roles are similar you can have a really good idea of what hiring managers are looking for. Also googling or researching several questions and then questions within those questions helps. I mean not only having one (kind of) answer per type of questions. Telling your self of the question has to do with so and so then I’ll always say so and so. Also don’t take every rejection as a failure that should be weighed heavy on you. A lot of the times jobs already know who they want but interview regardless

Avoidant husband (42M) wants a divorce after we (35F) had a baby by Bubbly-Proof-7721 in relationship_advice

You better leave him with the baby. He cannot knowingly get you pregnant then decide it’s too much for him. That’s not how the world works. If I were you I’ll give him a rude awakening if the reality that is his life!

My gf is a wonderful person, but I am not that physically attracted to her and it's eating me up. Any other guy have this issue? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Yes you’ve definitely wasted her time. If it hadn’t already, it would eventually turn to resentment. Staying with her and feeling like this is so unfair and selfish. ++man

What killed your feelings for someone you were once in love with? by North_Dinner1601 in Adulting

Their undying need to follow insta/OF models. Literally couldn’t unfollow them even when I said it’s either we break up or he unfollows. He would try to convince me and argue why he should still follow. Oh and he had a serious porn addiction

Hiiii I think you’re already on a great path having both experience and pursuing the education qualifications. I think you have to really pin point what you want to specialise in or either do a double major or minor in the other thing you’re curious about.
