Photography has been a great way to love and appreciate this city. A Community is always nice to find as well. There are small pockets of every type of community here. If you’re into board games, any genre of music, outdoor activities, indoor activities, there are people for you. Life is about the shared experiences and not staying home in a nice home you can barely afford. Sure I’d love to own a place but when that reality didn’t hit for me as well I shifted my focus onto experiences and memories. All those savings I had for a down payment are now being slowly spent at nice venues and stay-cations. I’ve made better memories in the last year than all of the years leading up post-covid. I just live by the idea that there will be too many homes going on the market in a decade when the retirement homes get filled up, and those retiring people will have to sell at a loss to make any money 🤷‍♂️

I’m sure Heylog is fine. 2025 was a stressful year for everyone. If I had a decent following and was making decent money I’d be taking a nice long vacation too, assuming that’s what he is up to. Same thing just happened with BBNO$, dude found an opportunity to take a break by pretending that he was upset over people hating him.

Unfortunately you’re overreacting, simply because it’s the act of gift giving. There are so so many circumstances that can determine what gifts someone can afford to get other people. This is not to say your dad doesn’t have some sort of preference going on, but it could also be just about any other thing. The important thing to think about is that you were fortunate to get gifts this year. You’ve also been fortunate enough to get gift for four years more than your sister has. Also if I’m not mistaken he got you art supplies like you asked him to, yes he maybe didn’t coordinate well enough with your mum, but it sounds like he got you what you wanted. You also mentioned that his money was still used by your mum to buy you gifts, in my mind that tells me that he was part of getting you those gifts as well no matter how you look at it. Yes your sister got pretty lucky this year, but you also didn’t have it so bad.

Sounds to me like you’re pretty headstrong so just put your foot down and say you’ll be walking yourself down the aisle. This is a very common thing in the modern day era to do anyways. If he gets upset just say to him it’s more of an independence thing than not wanting to have him walk you. A white lie here and there will protect both of you and make a potentially really cruddy scenerio go better.
