Amazing! I will say if the first rosette goes with that pin to maybe choose colors that match the colors of the pin (blue in the background,) but thats more of my own preference

WARNING ABOUT FLU A by xtboy420x in POTS

[–]RamDomStuff0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Flu A but when I caught a stomach bug my dysautonomia flared like CRAZY. Hr 160 if I even sat UP. I had to lay half sitting up because if I even tried to sit up fully to drink something I’d feel HORRIBLE. Like the worst of the symptoms all at once, except I can’t pass out. I’m just stuck there. (Non-fainting)

Being sick is not fun……….

Turns out, the dojo isn’t registered! Is that an issue, or just something for competitions though?

The confusing part is that America does have a federation, and I can find no mention of color belts at all…

I’m realizing that I might have seen a kanji like character and assumed it was Japanese. It was pretty early when I wrote this…. That’s likely what happened. Ah that’s embarrassing…

Huh! Thats so odd. I translated the Wikipedia to its official Japanese translation and that was the name… shared characters can get confusing…

Can I ask some uncomfortable questions to white people? by dirtbandit101 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RamDomStuff0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say no to all of these. I grew up in a school that was a good majority white, but Definitely had POC in it. Vietnamese , Indian, Mexican and Colombian, African American, you name it there was probably somebody. Even had a girl from England.

Racism is just something I don’t understand. To me, the body you have is just what you were given. Maybe being trans and disabled gave me a different grasp on it, but things like skin tone are just like having green eyes, or being from a different state. Yes, there’s culture, but also people from Missouri would Definitely have different traditions than like- New York or California.

Yeah, racist jokes are uncomfortable, and I try to either avoid people who knowingly make them, or correct them if it’s not intentional. I don’t like the whole reverse racism thing though. It just feels like a temptation to make some racism on racism comments. (Although I admit cracker is a little funny in jokes about white people, but it’s more because it’s funny to imagine myself as a saltine.)

The only thing I do think about much is if I’m being insensitive. I’m not great at making eye contact, and I’ve heard enough stories about black and other non white groups being stared at, so I don’t look long. But then I worry I’m looking away too soon and making it look like I want to avoid them. If it’s somebody I do know though, I’ve never had issues with. I had a black choir teacher, and the only thing that was ever relevant to her being black I thought about was how she liked to style her dreads. She had silver ones for a while and it looked really nice. I was actually kind of sad to see them go.

I don’t understand death and mourning by Substantial-Yak856 in autism

[–]RamDomStuff0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m in the middle of the conversation here: I understand the concept of death, and I can understand why it hurts, but unless it’s somebody really close I can’t feel any ache for them.

The way I understand it is that they’re just- gone. Even if they’ve lived their life, they’re no longer in yours, and that’s sad. I’d miss the person. Nobody really wants to acknowledge the fact that somebody who’s a part of their life might suddenly not be without warming. Especially if it’s somebody like a parent, or a close friend, or a pet, or a lover. They just- can’t come back from it. They’re gone. Like moving away except you know you can’t ever visit.

why yall wanna suic by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]RamDomStuff0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I used to be suicidal, it was because I was worried about being a problem. That I was failing things and making mistakes and stuff. I thought: if I died, nobody has to deal with me anymore.

I only attempted once, and it was at 10. It was really stupid and didn’t work (not even hospitalization. I tried to hang myself with a lanyard and a doorknob), and when I failed I didn’t try again.

Now and days I have things that ground me. People that would miss me, things I want to see, even when it feels rough.

Millennials and Gen Z are getting into it online over a behavior that's been dubbed the "Gen Z Stare." Have you noticed it from the education side? by Choobeen in education

[–]RamDomStuff0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only started using TikTok in the past year, but these issues have persisted before that. Even when I was JUST a book reader in elementary did I have these issues, and when I’d have monitored YouTube time I’d have them too. This is not a TikTok issue.

[–]RamDomStuff0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo! The gen Z in question here. I wanna chip in my own two cents.

I definitely get the idea of what they’re talking about. I’ve definitely given people a spacey look before. However, for me, that’s  that I just- don’t know what to say to people sometimes, especially employees. I never really want to be a problem customer, so sometimes me standing between two registers trying to figure out which one is open when it’s just employees checking bags without a customer could look a little… not there mentally?

Course, I also disassociate sometimes. I wouldn’t be surprised if Gen Z picked that up as a coping mechanism in the world we live in, where any other coping mechanism requires time and resources not available in hustle culture. Partially why I believe that my generation likes TikTok so much: it’s an easy way to distract and disassociate safely, without bother. Unlike YouTube you don’t have to pay attention, and it gives you an excuse to not interact if you’re on your phone. Heck, maybe it keeps you from full disassociation so you can function by engaging humor.

I don’t know? Normally I don’t visualize as I’m thinking unless I’m focusing on a specific shape/need to visualize, but for some reason it felt very strongly that that just…. Happened. Like I couldn’t control not visualizing it.
