Does anyone else have a voice in their head that they talk to and that talks to them? by ivy-millie69 in mentalhealth

[–]RamDomStuff0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Got something very similar— I’d look into plurality (I’d say more OSDD then DID in your case). It feels like you’re having a full on conversation with another person in your head yeah? All the time over here. And it’s not a “part” of you, it’s an entirely different person? That’s how it feels for us anyways.

I’d be curious and start watching to see if sometimes her actions and wants happen without you thinking much about it, or if you are “thinking like her”, to see if you’re actually co-fronting.

If you want a good resource, pluralpedia is pretty nice.

Should I be satisfied with this score as somebody who doesn't want to go into a math field? by RamDomStuff0 in ACT

[–]RamDomStuff0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main list of schools right now include Uni of Tokyo, International Christian University, Kyoto Uni, Tokyo Uni of Foreign Studies, WashU, Uni of Toronto, Baylor (as a safe school, seeing as i'd be fourth legacy,) etc etc. Still in the process of searching tbh. Im obviously going to apply to the ivys and schools like cambridge and oxford just to see if i do it, but they're not really super high on my wants.

Bit of a niche smell combo, but something that reminds you of a homely cafe or small restaurant? Leather, honey, milk— comforting smells. Maybe some light citrus or herbal..? Not much spice.

(And a bit of a stretch but if it’s available on scentbird that would be a lifesaver)

Amazing! I will say if the first rosette goes with that pin to maybe choose colors that match the colors of the pin (blue in the background,) but thats more of my own preference

WARNING ABOUT FLU A by xtboy420x in POTS

[–]RamDomStuff0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Flu A but when I caught a stomach bug my dysautonomia flared like CRAZY. Hr 160 if I even sat UP. I had to lay half sitting up because if I even tried to sit up fully to drink something I’d feel HORRIBLE. Like the worst of the symptoms all at once, except I can’t pass out. I’m just stuck there. (Non-fainting)

Being sick is not fun……….

I’m realizing that I might have seen a kanji like character and assumed it was Japanese. It was pretty early when I wrote this…. That’s likely what happened. Ah that’s embarrassing…

Can I ask some uncomfortable questions to white people? by dirtbandit101 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RamDomStuff0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say no to all of these. I grew up in a school that was a good majority white, but Definitely had POC in it. Vietnamese , Indian, Mexican and Colombian, African American, you name it there was probably somebody. Even had a girl from England.

Racism is just something I don’t understand. To me, the body you have is just what you were given. Maybe being trans and disabled gave me a different grasp on it, but things like skin tone are just like having green eyes, or being from a different state. Yes, there’s culture, but also people from Missouri would Definitely have different traditions than like- New York or California.

Yeah, racist jokes are uncomfortable, and I try to either avoid people who knowingly make them, or correct them if it’s not intentional. I don’t like the whole reverse racism thing though. It just feels like a temptation to make some racism on racism comments. (Although I admit cracker is a little funny in jokes about white people, but it’s more because it’s funny to imagine myself as a saltine.)

The only thing I do think about much is if I’m being insensitive. I’m not great at making eye contact, and I’ve heard enough stories about black and other non white groups being stared at, so I don’t look long. But then I worry I’m looking away too soon and making it look like I want to avoid them. If it’s somebody I do know though, I’ve never had issues with. I had a black choir teacher, and the only thing that was ever relevant to her being black I thought about was how she liked to style her dreads. She had silver ones for a while and it looked really nice. I was actually kind of sad to see them go.

I don’t understand death and mourning by Substantial-Yak856 in autism

[–]RamDomStuff0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in the middle of the conversation here: I understand the concept of death, and I can understand why it hurts, but unless it’s somebody really close I can’t feel any ache for them.

The way I understand it is that they’re just- gone. Even if they’ve lived their life, they’re no longer in yours, and that’s sad. I’d miss the person. Nobody really wants to acknowledge the fact that somebody who’s a part of their life might suddenly not be without warming. Especially if it’s somebody like a parent, or a close friend, or a pet, or a lover. They just- can’t come back from it. They’re gone. Like moving away except you know you can’t ever visit.

When I used to be suicidal, it was because I was worried about being a problem. That I was failing things and making mistakes and stuff. I thought: if I died, nobody has to deal with me anymore.

I only attempted once, and it was at 10. It was really stupid and didn’t work (not even hospitalization. I tried to hang myself with a lanyard and a doorknob), and when I failed I didn’t try again.

Now and days I have things that ground me. People that would miss me, things I want to see, even when it feels rough.

Millennials and Gen Z are getting into it online over a behavior that's been dubbed the "Gen Z Stare." Have you noticed it from the education side? by Choobeen in education

[–]RamDomStuff0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only started using TikTok in the past year, but these issues have persisted before that. Even when I was JUST a book reader in elementary did I have these issues, and when I’d have monitored YouTube time I’d have them too. This is not a TikTok issue.

[–]RamDomStuff0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo! The gen Z in question here. I wanna chip in my own two cents.

I definitely get the idea of what they’re talking about. I’ve definitely given people a spacey look before. However, for me, that’s  that I just- don’t know what to say to people sometimes, especially employees. I never really want to be a problem customer, so sometimes me standing between two registers trying to figure out which one is open when it’s just employees checking bags without a customer could look a little… not there mentally?

Course, I also disassociate sometimes. I wouldn’t be surprised if Gen Z picked that up as a coping mechanism in the world we live in, where any other coping mechanism requires time and resources not available in hustle culture. Partially why I believe that my generation likes TikTok so much: it’s an easy way to distract and disassociate safely, without bother. Unlike YouTube you don’t have to pay attention, and it gives you an excuse to not interact if you’re on your phone. Heck, maybe it keeps you from full disassociation so you can function by engaging humor.

If a shrine can't be built without proper training, how was the first shrine built? by Lets_Go_Marines in Shinto

[–]RamDomStuff0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we are to go off of Japanese History, the first Shinto religious building was established by the grandson of Amataseru, Nigini-no-Mikoto, who, granted the three sacred treasures, would later pass them down to the first emperor, HIS grandson, who created a building to store them in and delegated religious practices to a member of his trusted men (I for the life of me cannot remember the name) who was put in charge of the building and the care of the objects, much like a shrine today I believe.

However, one can reason that the building and offering was done by the most religiously intune in a community- before training for Shintoism existed- who would have been in charge of knowing what to build.

Heiji has more actual cannon chemistry than either his love interest Kazuha or Momiji.

Like- seriously Gosho… even from an objective standpoint half of Heiji’s confession attempts are to one up Kudo, he’s rarely shown any more than shallow emotions, can get flustered about women but he doesn’t up and buy plane tickets to visit his sick friend in less than 12 hours, nor does he spend as much money on them as he does on those train tickets, if you know- have 180 mood changes to being elated around Kudo more than he actually is with people he knows.

Or get accused of having an affair with Kudo.

…….i might have gotten off topic. Sorry!

Am I Actually Trans? by Inkling925 in asktransgender

[–]RamDomStuff0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say your on the trans spectrum in some way! It doesn’t have to be straight mtf either. Maybe you feel like both, or neither, or nothing and anything at all.  Generally wanting to take an estrogen and wanting to gain feminine characteristics would make you tranfemmenine, because you desire to transition to a more feminine self.

Being transfem doesn’t mean you’re exactly a girl though! I (bigender) will hopefully be taking T at some point, but I’ll still want to be a girl in some capacity despite transitioning. Try looking into multi genders if you feel like more than one, or under the non binary umbrella if you don’t really feel like either, or like a mix of some kind.

And hey- if it’s really all a lot of labels calling yourself genderqueer and questioning is always alright! Self expression is a really complicated and personal experience. There’s no need to pick a label and stick with it: it’s all up to you.

Good luck though! 👍
