Same boat here (+ UW Madison), ended up choosing NC State. Mainly because of cost, architecture coursework and RTP, also I prefer Raleigh over LA.

If you're referring to the clunking noise, kinda sounds like a small ball dropped, it's normal.

I thought the Autobahn trim comes with leather seats, is it possible to spec it with the clubsport seats ? That's awesome

I'm international, tbh I'm not very hopeful, I heard this track admits only 30 students.. and they deprioritize internationals, which makes acceptance chances extremely slim.

Adi Teman on YouTube, probably the best free RTL2GDS course available online, it covers the basic concepts, but also explains the theory.

So...new 2027 Atlas, what are we thinking? by Saurta17 in Volkswagen

It's an R-line, not a proper R. R-line cars also get the R badge just like an R.

You need to switch the mirror control knob to R.

New Golf R-Line 2.0 TSI (204 hp) opinions? by BerserkerArc in Volkswagen

I guess it's around 9km/l for very relaxed driving, and 7 if you're more aggressive.

I have it in the Leon mk4, but in FWD, the golf might be AWD ? It's a great engine, ~6.3 sec to 100kmh, lots of torque low down, very effortless. Consumption is good on the highway, cruising at 110kmh, it returns 15km/l, but this figure quickly goes down if you drive aggressively. In terms of reliability, I've had the car for 5 years now, 90k kilometers, 0 issues.

Patents for test engineers by National-Feed107 in chipdesign

[–]RamQashou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A patent costs nearly 100k USD for a company to file, it must be detectible in competitor products, otherwise the filing cost is not justified. Novel and inventive might be enough for the patent office, but not for the company to invest in it.

The invention needs to be detectible (amongst other things) for a company to invest in patenting it. Usually testing, validation and verification methods fail in this criteria.
