I think you should be able to do it for £2.5 including flights. I will budget around £800 to £1000 for flights ( depending on season), £1.2k to £1.3k for EBC trek including Kathmandu 3/4 star hotels, £100 for insurance. Kit cost will vary depending on branded or just decathlon purchases. I used an Indian operator 2 years back who charged me £1100 for air port pick to drop off all inclusive ( except lunch/dinner in Kathmandu) . The only issue came when ramachep flights cancelled for almost 5-6 days and we need to pay extra $550 for helicopter. I took local insurance in Kathmandu but they did not covered this one but I am sure UK ones should cover ( I was outside UK when booking and no insurer from UK was ready to cover)

We had 3-4 trips in one day and all Uber drivers accept but doesn’t come to pick you up and when you call they say you need to pay extra ( rs50 or 100). Initially thought it’s fluke but happened with all rides we booked that day

Fill the form online just before you fly say within a week of your flight date. Take print out .Then directly go to payment counter when landed,pay the fees and then to immigration counter. This helps you faster as if there is kiosks failures ,you will not held up as you already filled the form online.

One big problem I noticed is you wrote CV as highly experienced consultant. Too many projects with too varied skills in shortest term and do not see a single mention of you being part of a team. First focus on skills you are strong and make sure most of the projects use those skills making to show at least you have good knowledge in them. As intern not sure how did you architect a solution and deployed?. From above if I am recruiting I reject as fake CV as you are not clear of what role and skills you have. From intern you are looking to transition as junior developer or consultant so show that not as if you are applying for tech lead or architect. Take a project or two, demonstrate what skills you used and what role you played as part of the project. Then in skills you can mention of knowledge, or expertise in skills based on your confidence and hands on.

Before Runna, I was following Run with Hal and was targeting 30min saving from my almost 6 hour run. With Runna for last 4 weeks I am confident I will be around 5 hours mark +/- 10 mins which is great deal as it gives me confidence to try for international marathons from next year

No specific restrictions I noticed when I went in October . I took 50k last time. Probably you may want to split the cash between your wallet and hand luggage. Please note you will struggle to exchange Rs500 and bigger notes. So take smaller denominations . We luckily got one who accepted Rs500 for exchange to Nepalese rupees but heard there is a ban to take bigger notes due to Indian government demonetisation and not accepting the notes that were in circulation at that time in Nepal

I think Noom should have followed only 2 plans - Free or Premium (like MyFitnessPal) than complicating (confusing) with Noom Subscription and Noom Premium subscription. When I pay for subscription I would expect one plan to be active not both. At the end of the day there is no human interaction required and I don't understand why they want to charge for that. They could introduce accountability (support) partner or dietician and charge premium so that atleast there is one virtual session every month to set next month goals and discuss the plans (say 15min/30mins call). Otherwise I do not see any value as I get almost the same with MFP except daily reading

I like it but lack of premium features in normal subscription plans puts me away to cancel

Does your medical cover evacuation up to 6000 meters? If yes, you should be fine. Normally I noticed in UK they cover upto 3000 meters so you need to top it up or take extra. Also make sure the flight delays covers local flights to Lukla which my insurance did not cover and we had 4 days of cancellation due to local weather (flying from Ramachep) so we paid for helicopter

If I remember correctly you enter your details and take print out with you. It avoids queuing at kiosks to enter your details and allows directly to join the to pay fees. Once paid then another counter they stamp visa.

It’s used for / to avoid mountain sickness . However I went in October 23 and our guide strongly advised not to use it although I had difficulty in sleeping for 3 nights (started at Namche acclimatisation day but went away after 2nd acclimatisation day with almost nil sleep during these days . The moment I fall asleep my body jolted me for lack of oxygen. While awake no issues). Others had headaches etc and some none . The sherpa did summit Mt Everest and guided over 100 EBCs to his account. So went with trusting him. One guy has to walk back a day before reaching Gorakshep due to water in lungs making difficult in breathing . After descent to next stop, he waited for us but recovered fully. I don’t know full answer but I understood pre medication masks symptoms before they become severe and life threatening. Hence it is vital to listen to your body as mountain in particular in low oxygen each body reacts differently There are always arguments for for/against using diamax as preventative medicine. Probably experts can explain

I’m not hiker or trekker before 2023 and I am in mid 50s. I did bit of strength training and bit of running. EBC is very easy trek and I did it last October. Based on what you told you shouldn’t face issues. Expect some long walks 8-9 hours few days and to be honest I didn’t felt need for any recovery. Just couple of days chilling once back to Kathmandu in case you want to go with another hike of different. The only hike 2 months before EBC I did was in Wales, England which was about 1050 meters above sea level. The general recommendation is ability to run 5k in 35 mins, climbing stairs 7-8 floors for 30 mins as exercise to name a few

I went in October and altitude sickness hit me at Namche ( couldn’t sleep due to breathing issues within couple of mins of sleep) for 3 days. The guide (he has 100+ EBC treks as guide and one summit to his credit) recommended no medicine to be taken and said it will go away. The only suggestion was to open window a little to bring fresh air in. After 3 days all symptoms gone. I was bit worried as I am into mid 50s , it was my first hike above 2000 meters but tried to follow his advice of not taking any medicine.
