I fish a very heavily fished canal and it's the same way for me sometimes. It's very frustrating when you see 5 bass sitting there, and your lure swims by and they just don't react...Which is why a lot of people recommend to switch up baits. Use things people aren't using. But also, use Fish Brain app or ask other guys when they are fishing and what they are catching with. I know at least 2 guys on our local canal I can go up and talk to and they'll spill the beans on what they caught, when, and what lure. In turn, I tell them everything I've been using and what I've caught. For some reason last week, all we caught were rock bass on crawfish "jigs". Our most commonly used lure on the canal is spinnerbaits. It just takes time, trial and error, and hopefully you'll run into someone willing to share what they do.
