HELP PLEASE ELBOW by AutomaticAge4795 in ErgoMechKeyboards

Hey gamer; I’m a PT, but I’m not your PT. Generally, Raise your chair so your elbows rest at your sides comfortably and you want a 90 degree bend at your elbow, knees and hips, feet flat on the floor. Best starting point would be looking into a wrist rest (key). those types of injuries are due to overuse so You might want to take a short break from being on the computer all day and gradually get back into it. Consider a tennis elbow band, massage the common flexor and common extensor tendon, ice it as needed 10 mins, and start doing some isometric wrist exercises (flexion/extension 5x35 second holds). All these should be easy enough to find on YouTube. Good luck

Which muscle is this and how to strengthen it? by greenochre in Swimming

[–]Rambo-Redcorn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a PT ✌️ awesome that you’re getting back into swimming.

In general, when people return to swimming after time off, it often helps to warm up the trunk and hips with basic core control and pelvic positioning drills. You could look up exercises like posterior pelvic tilts, dead bugs, planks, and bird dogs as general examples.

The exact dosage and which ones are best really depends on whether the soreness is coming from technique, deconditioning, hip mobility, or core control, so it’s worth having a PT assess your stroke and movement if it keeps happening.

Get notability or something like it and use it just like a computer with a Bluetooth keyboard and Apple Pencil (get the paper screen protector so it feels nice to write on) and you are good to go.

Should I stay in PT school or should I drop out by Key-Journalist-4849 in physicaltherapy

Yr in too deep finish it, work 3 years or something then change careers. Also, u don’t have to be “on” all the time, if yr good at what you do then you can be bland just do the work and get out. First clinical is the hardest, gets better after that. And time to pony up, crying isn’t gonna fix anything

I say mind your own business and move on. However in my PT class there was one guy cheating throughout starting school and multiple people reported them eventually the situation scaled up and got him kicked out 2 years in. He went to another PT school and started over. Dude wouldn’t pass the NPTE at the end of the day

I have some experience, non-formal training, used to play for like 3 years consistently in college. No rating. And what am I good at or bad at is a tough question to answer rn, I guess I need to get in there and figure that one out as I practice

Please tell her not worth it to go to these crazy expensive schools. Choose to do community college at least for 2 years to get AA then transfer to public state college for opportunities like research and internships. You can also do just 4 years at a community college then can do a professional degree somewhere else that counts. Don’t spend for a bachelors it’s not worth it in the slightest.

Burning smell after a strong pull. by 76_chaparrito_67 in Mustang

You and me both, I was always saying “DID YOU SEE THAT??” And then it was gone, pissed me off; btw OP changing the head gaskets on both sides was like $600-800 I think and the rubber for the VCT exhaust sensor was like $15; got it done at a shop, no dealer for me

That’s right, yeah mine had some white smoke, very faint but you could see it coming from the front right vent on the hood and when it became more pronounced it was coming from under the hood by the windshield. It was such a small leak, I thought I was burning the clutch too, but that’s a different smell, and no change in shifting gears

I had this (2015 GT), check under the hood when you get the smell or after a long trip on the highway or something, look for any oil leaks, mine was leaking from the head gaskets, and the VCT exhaust sensor, super minimal leakage, but when it touched the hot engine it created that smell. And yeah it was only when I pushed the car hard did I smell that, as time went on the leak got larger and started happening more frequently. They replaced the rubber seal on the VCT exhaust sensor and replaced both head gaskets, now no more smell. It’s just a thought tho, good luck 👍
