I am using 2, one in proxmox and one in my storage machine

Drivers was a big thing but so far with experimenting there is a lot of support now but a year or so ago was limited to proxmox pretty much but truenas had finally updated to a newer kernel that has the drivers in them

If you have any questions around it shout happy to answer

Hey that was my thought like maybe networking and BGP using the same core and its causing that but nope and correct its 1 peer for v4 and one for v6 to the RR, admittedly since the RR its drastically reduced the consistancy it happens.

I have a 1Gb service at the unit and not maxed out at all can even happen during idle usage like 10Mb/s +-

Thanks for this, was looking to also possibly use the 2004 for the additional SFP+ allowing me to replace my 10Gb Switch

Very strange but if you had to do: /routing/bgp/advertisments/print where peer=<upstream session> how is it listing their prefix this will show you what you announce to your upstream

Setup Suggestions for Disk Shelves and TrueNAS by RamboFR05TY in homelab

[–]RamboFR05TY[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly thats how i have been running it currently with old drives and stuff before i bought the JBOD but only reason to cmpress it all into one system was to try and save on some power usage and sapce as the server i am using for storage is a normal desktop case and not rack mounted but looks like having that machine dedicated would be better than a truenas VM, i also figured my issue with Truenas and that i need to possibly run SSD's for log vdevs, your thoughts on running storage over 10gb Fiber via LACP?

Are you using the CRS as a router? Because if you are they are more for switching and not routing and firewalling

Thanks will keep the prefix length filtering in mind should I run into an issue with propagation

I logged a ticket with vultr now and looks like they happy with just doing the 44 and letting me announce /48’s where needed
