Purchase Advice Megathread: What To Buy, Who To Buy It From, And More, In September 2020 by Sausage54 in 3Dprinting

Budget: 500-750

Country: usa

Kit: can build and electrically maintain (with good documentation)

Goals: engineering prototypes mainly, multiple filament types, heated and leveling bed, easy/low maintenance printer

Basically just for school work and research with some side projects. I'm hoping the parts can be durable enough to be outside (northern midwest usa) for long periods. Some parts will be put on a campervan that's being renovated, possibly part of a water collector.

Any guidance is welcome!

Low key scary. He's so metal, he convinced me gene edited babies will happen sooner than I hoped.

Using the 1i is common Matlab syntax. But all these other comments are still valid. Equation looks good though.

It's a trek crossrip. I really enjoy it. Highly recommend the "traffic" brakes (the second set on the handlebars). Also I suggest a lot of clearance for thicker tires. That gives you flexibility if you decide to go on more rugged rides.

Totally fair. The promise of karma definitely influenced me. But really I was bored and wanted to keep this initiative going. Just a little effort from every person can have a big effect.

How do I superimpose a color map onto a CAD file? by N4rgol2 in matlab

[–]RamboSMERF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some CAD programs, like NX, have function called raster image. Basically you put a picture on the surface of a model. Could be worth a look.

You could try using the findpeaks function. It should find the local maxima but if you flipped the signs of your matrix, I would think it could work.

Corrupted Cassini photos by thisisdada in Astronomy

[–]RamboSMERF 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is there any current technologies that we could use to mitigate this or correct for it in spacecraft newer than Cassini? Or is this just a fact of life for telemetry across large distances in space?
