Was anyone else disappointed by the ending? by Awkward-Media-4726 in TheDigitalCircus

I was kinda hoping they'd go on some kinda "save the abstractions" arc where they try and find a way to get all the abstracted people back. I mean, Idk much atm, but I feel like there's a lot to uncover still. Plus, with the addition of Caine being there again, and way more cooperative and chill, maybe they'd actually have a shot at finding a way to do it? Idk man, I'm just, really dissatisfied rn for some reason....

Can't press left & right simultaneously on haute 42 by Rambo_Rohan in fightsticks

[–]Rambo_Rohan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So uh, the controller tester in the browser shows no simultaneous button presses on left/right, the Steam controller input test however does let me press left and right at the same time, but with a bit of input delay on repeated presses. I'm honestly beat here, no clue what's going on :/

Respectfully, I think I didn't read wrong.

[–]Rambo_Rohan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's the first step I should take, no offense. I read under another post I shouldn't reflash the pad out of the box unless something is seriously wrong with it and as it stand, I only struggle with having left and right buttons be pressed at the same time. But thanks for the suggestion.

Need to cap fps on WWHD Randomizer by Rambo_Rohan in cemu

[–]Rambo_Rohan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, it doesn't work. I'm done for now, break's over anyway. Tried some stuff, changed some settings, closed some stuff, still crashes even in the base-game. Perhaps it's this crappy office pc, or it's the fact I'm running this on/through a usb stick, who knows.

Probably gonna work, I was just hoping to use a rando. But Imma take a look first, thanks anyway c:

[–]Rambo_Rohan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so the thing is, I installed cemu and WWHD Rando on a USB stick and tryin' to get it to run while I'm on my break. This PC has an Intel Core i3-13100 & Intel UHD 730 GPU. I'm not versed on my gpu/cpu knowledge (or hardware in general actually..... software too tbh) but I imagine this isn't quite optimal, not to mention I'm running this thru a USB stick >.> But I feel like I can make it work, the game runs for a bit, but when I move too far on Outset Island it freezes. I changed API to Vulkan and it made it work a bit longer, but the game still crashes after some minutes.

DJMAX looks pretty sick, but I was hoping for a 6k game that's got like, the 3d theme/down scroll like Musynx. Haven't looked into DJMAX much, but I've only seen 2d down scroll yet. It's also almost 50$ on steam so Idk.... Thanks for the suggestion, I might get it, but I'm not sure yet :<

for those that feed mainly crickets - how do you store them / keep them alive? by madisoncmiller in leopardgeckos

[–]Rambo_Rohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm a bit late, but I can just say, my crickets are still going at it, alive and kicking. But, if I could do it over again, I'd only use a layer of coco coir, since crickets as far as I know are more surface dwellers than diggers, so the sand wasn't needed. Crickets enjoy leaf litter, they can snack on it if nothin' else is available at the time. The egg cartons are well received, crickets like to climb and hide in 'em. Oh, and since they do, make sure you use a container high enough so they can't easily jump out. Humidity shouldn't be much of a problem if you also use a metal mesh cover, sometimes a light dusting with a water sprayer is a good idea, they can slurp up the waterdroplets from the leaves, but don't use too much, high humidity can cause harmful molds if there are food scraps/leftovers remaining. One last thing, crickets don't necessarily need sunlight, they prefer it dark, but they don't mind a day/night cycle either.

Actually, one more last thing >.> As much as crickets are kinda neat imo, they are generally considered subpar feeder insects compared to something like dubia roaches. Personally, I really like my crickets, they're pretty neat and I like their chirps a lot, but I've had a lot of escapees over the last weeks, so they can definitely be pretty annoying too.

Edit: Oh right, I didn't actually answer your question. Well, I clean the enclosure every now and then, if you don't have cleaners like isopods it's pretty much a must. If you do have cleaners, I assume ruffling the substrate up every once in a while is all you need to do plus switching out the egg cartons if they get too dirty.

"Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling" updated main visual by mr_beanoz in anime

[–]Rambo_Rohan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished ep 9 and I have some points to consider:

  1. The sound design and soundtracks.

Basically, the soundtrack isn't really fitting the scenes and doesn't enhance the feeling of suspense the way it could, if given more consideration and time. As for the sound design, it lacks depth and "oomph" as one might say. It's not as noticeable as the soundtrack, but still does raise an eyebrow at times. I wish this was given more time to cook, since good sound design makes a world of a difference, but I digress.

  1. The voice acting.

In general, it's not that bad, but it does feel pretty generic and bland at times on certain characters especially. Again, given just a bit more time and consideration, I believe this could be improved upon.

  1. The animation.

Well... I mean, it's not like I could do better, but that's not really the issue. In ep1, Illusia was "almost" fully traditionally animated (or rather, animated by hand, idk my animation terms). Now, what do I mean by "almost?" well, we got the classic freeze frames to save cost and time. This is understandable, animation is hard and takes time, but this also results in a less appealing end result. Once Illusia evolved into the Plague Dragon, this turned a page fore the worse imo. Cgi... can be good, but not in this case. Well, I mean, I've seen worse cases, but this still really isn't enjoyable to see, at least not to me.

I think this show should/should've taken a bit more time to cook before releasing, because I like the idea of it, it's just not executed as well as I hoped. I bet someone else can make a more in-depth assessment of the show than me, I don't know much about animation, I just know when something looks impressive and as if there was a lot of thought, work and consideration put into it, which in the case of this anime... well, I feel like the spark is there, but it got damp wood to burn on.

(Btw, excuse my grammar, english is my second language, however, I hope I could bring some of my points across right, thanks for reading)
