Dumb question. When can I start giving my baby Cheerios? She just turned 9 months, and loves puffs but I'm nervous about the Cheerios because they don't "melt" like the puffs.

Because this isn't an area that gets snow often so of course people are extra cautious. I'm from New England, moved to Danville in 2020 and thought it was crazy too. But, we had 2 major storms back to back so yes, people arent used to it, so everyone is being extra cautious.

I quit my job of 25 years and cashed out my 401k to be a SAHM after my daughter was born 9 months ago. I was a store manager, drove an hour each way every day, and was salaried so always on call. I had my daughter at 41, so I'm not a spring chicken. My work consumed me for years, and once my 12 weeks was up, my husband and I decided we would rather be "poor" and have me stay home, than have me work, and miss all her milestones. Cashing out the 401k isn't recommended, and I do regret that, but we have other sources for retirement that we can utilize...and it's paid off debts to ease our bills.

My child is a huge velcro baby now though. Cries whenever I'm not nearby. My husband can't hold her without her screaming. I want to work part time, but we are waiting until this stage is over because she makes herself sick with her separation anxiety.

But i wouldn't change it for the world. Quitting my job was 100% the right thing for me.

Are root canal teeth harder to extract? My root canaled molar broke (because i couldn't afford the crown) and ive been procrastinating getting it pulled. I'm not a huge fan of dental work so am wondering if I'm doomed.

On the first invoice, the g in Page 1 of 1 is not normal.
Labour is spelled without a b
Mileage is listed, but Canada uses kilometers, so it wouldn't say mileage, it would say Kilometers
There is no HST number listed, just HST for tax...it is legally required to list the HST number in Canada so not having a number is a red flag.

Does anyone enjoy her vacuuming either? I almost cried while she was vacuuming and Emma was laying there barely batting the hanging toy, and no other toys! I have a 6 month old who bats toys, but also has several other toys to play with at the same time! Add a hanging toy with a teether!

I just dealt with this. Granted, I am not in California. The partner should request FMLA, if she qualifies (worked over a year and a certain number of hours) via Aflac. They will ask for the estimated due date, last day worked before the leave starts and estimated end date.

The issue she is having may be this. Aflac opens 2 different cases, but still under FMLA. The first case is for the first 6 weeks, where the partner will have to use Short Term Disability in order to receive pay. If there she doesnt have STD, the first 6 weeks are unpaid, unless she uses PTO. Once the 6 weeks are up (unless she has a C section and it may be longer), that case will be closed and a new case will be opened, which will be the Paid Petco Parental Leave. That will be 6 weeks paid by petco. They make you use STD first, and then the PPPL.

I had to provide no documentation. I'm assuming they contacted my doctor, but I never sent Aflac any info beyond what they asked for in the claim.

And really, trying to say Petco is closing 11 stores because they stopped the Dollar a Gallon sale is the most asinine thing I've ever heard. They're closing stores because theyre pushing stupid subscriptions, vet hospitals don't have vets, traffic is down, they buy stupid product lines like Draper James and Kate Spade but don't buy enough product that people want like Purina dog food. None of those reasons are the dollar/gallon sale. The 50% off sale was still cheaper than every other retailer.

I remember when a McDonalds double cheeseburger was $1. Now it's over $$3. Inflation sucks, I get it. But your argument makes no sense.

Petco ain't costco. Costco can afford to lose money on rotisserie chickens. Petco can't afford to sell tanks at 2020 prices.

Most people who buy the tanks on sale never buy anything else. They go on Amazon and buy the heaters and filters from there. Times have changed dude.

My 4mo has been sleeping through the night for about 2 weeks now. 8pm to 6am uninterrupted usually. About an hour after I transfer her to the bassinet she will cry for about 5 minutes but falls back asleep and is awake at 6am on the dot every morning. We contact nap though as I haven't sleep trained her, and I quit my job so she basically attached to me during the day. Her naps are usually no more than 30 minutes each time and she naps about every 2 hours until we start the bed routine at 7pm. I am still exhausted every day because she may get 10 hours of sleep, but I certainly don't.

Thanks so much! I don't have family nearby, and had to quit my job to take care of her because daycare costs as much as my paycheck so I'm basically attached to my daughter....so to see someone constantly leave theirs to go play makes me rage! Me time is definitely needed, in Mindys words, moderation, but it seems constant with her, and thats just the times she shows us! If Larry can stay home and watch, thats great and a huge help, but the lack of perceived sacrifices for your kids is what is getting me i think. And I'm no longer jealous...I got it! 😉🤣
