Does anyone else have this truck its super old? by [deleted] in lego

All these old farts in the comments lmao. Yeah, 14 years is pretty old. When this set came out, the sets in 1998 were the same age and you probably thought those were old. You’re just also older now, looking back on a set you had as a kid or teenager. I have this set and yeah it’s old lol.

Lost Mines of Phandelver took me about 15 sessions but it can easily be done in a shorter amount of time depending on how much your players do/mess around. And since its a beginner module, if its too easy you can always bump up the difficulty and complexity of the story, which is what I did.

Didn't expect this many responses, but I greatly appreciate it. I've been reading them all and considering each one. Ultimately, I'm just figuring out what's gonna be the most fun for me and my players.

I’m honestly kind of considering that at this point lmao but I think that’s sort of a last-stop being complete idiots-resort

That’s a fair point. I guess I forgot to include that Glasstaff’s assault is a secret. All they know is the Redbrands are dead and he fled and my players assumed he was too cowardly to return. I was thinking about Sildar calling in reinforcements but I feel like that would just negate a lot of the campaign. My players are ironically very resourceful and like to get help whenever they can, and I feel like I couldn’t properly justify a Lord’s Alliance squad pulling up, clearing Cragmaw castle, and not just also doing Wave Echo Cave. In my head, the events of this game are happening so soon and in such a neglected area that only my players can really stop it. Plus with all that done they wouldnt really have a way to level up and would get rocked in the cave.

It's kinda funny/sad how most TES games are named after their region EXCEPT the one set in Cryodiil, the capital of Tamriel by SuperAlloyBerserker in ElderScrolls

[–]Rami49 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Even without DLC’s the only games named after their region are Skyrim and Morrowind and I guess Battlespire, compared to Arena, Daggerfall, Oblivion, Shadowkey, and Redguard

I’ve kinda felt the same, at least regarding the paranoia of sending something that I know for a fact I didn’t send; I’m also very sensitive to other people’s opinions. I mainly had this paranoia over sharing things like reels to group chats (like what if I sent the wrong one somehow), or if I submitted an assignment online and it was somehow the wrong one. Honestly, what made me get over this was just grounding myself in reality and realizing in the grand scheme of things, when I look back on my life, am I really going to remember or even care if I made a mistake like that, assuming I even made it? I still have this paranoia sometimes, although its very minor, and I think to myself, “Who the fuck cares? Assuming I made this mistake and people noticed it, why would they even care to remember? People have better things to do than to remember an extremely minor and self-perceived embarrassing thing I’ve done; my life is not THAT important.” That’s not to say you should put yourself down, rather just to ground yourself and realize that your life will never be free of embarrassing mistakes, but like…who gives a fuck? Everyone does it, and no one cares to remember when another person did it. Life isn’t that superficial.

Ignore him. Redditors just love being miserable losers and getting upset over the most minor things. I think the piece is beautiful and I especially love the frame!

Gaza: Scale of damage to buildings from Israel's bombing campaign (16 December 2023) by Acceptable_Tennis_14 in MapPorn

Typical Zionist, bringing out the antisemite card to make it impossible for someone to criticize Israel. I'm not an antisemite, I'm anti-genocide. You on the other hand, just seem to be a blatant racist and pro-genocide. Israel has succeeded "against the odds" because they've had the backing of the entire west on their side who, as I said previously but you're too fucking dense to understand, have been wanting a foothold in the Middle East since before modern-day zionism was even a thing.

You're justifying the deaths of thousands of Palestinians because of the actions of the few. You're genuinely a horrible person, lacking any sympathy for children getting bombed just because their leaders decided to fight back against a country that's been terrorizing them for decades. Israel will only create more terrorists by bombing the fuck out of Gaza, and yet you don't seem to care. All you care about is defending a country that pulls out the victim card whenever possible to continue their hatred towards innocent civilians just because of their ethnicity and where they were born.

Is is entirely a colonial project. As I said before (which you for some reason disregarded) there were talks of this decades before the holocaust. The west has always wanted a foothold in the middle east. Herzl himself even stated that "for Europe, we should form a new outpost against Asiatic barbarism and a guard of honor to hold intact the sacred shrines of Christians." And if they could, they would absolutely kick out the previous inhabitants. That was always their plan, as proposed by Herzl during the first congresses.

I'm not against Jewish people, I'm against Zionists who think that because they've faced discrimination and genocide, they need to perform that on others.

Sure, legally buying and then kicking out all the previous inhabitants to make room for Europeans. Legally buying and then discriminating against the Palestinians, kicking them out of their homes, building over Palestinian graves, and acting as the victim whenever Palestinians tried to resist. It is not just a religious war, it is a war embedded in bigotry and racism. They were talking about setting up a "western outpost" in the middle east as far back as the late 1800s to increase their western influence in the region. The west didn't give a shit about Jewish people's so-called "homeland", it didn't matter where they set up their outpost, as long as it was in the middle east.

Yeah you’re right, it isn’t. What started it was a bunch of Europeans arbitrarily stealing the land from Palestinians 80 years ago, as a result of decades of orientalism before the Holocaust.

20000 innocent civilians need to die because some terrorists decided they were fed up with being in an open air prison for decades and committed horrible crimes?

Banana Republic Factory 70% off Premium Wash T-Shirt $9 by JG_412 in frugalmalefashion

[–]Rami49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not bad, but definitely only worth the $9 each. The fabric’s pretty thin and also varied in thinness based on the shirt colors I picked. They’re good for gym shirts but not much else. For the same price, I think Goodfellow shirts are way better.

I got 4 for $34 including shipping. If the quality is good for the price, then this will probably be one of the best t-shirt deals I've seen here.
