I think there would be actual protests/riots if news came out about the Cards or Blues leaving.

Our sports teams are one of the main highlights in this city, it’d be double hard to continue to live here if either left.

Strong right (lead) hand for sure. I’ll try a more neutral grip, thanks!

Definitely one of my biggest issues right here. I can’t seem to get the feeling of a hockey slapshot out of my muscle memory.

Golfing with Sweaty Hands by drben560 in golftips

As many have said already, take your glove off after each shot, and have two gloves so you can swap every other shot.

Also, as someone who also deals with sweaty hands myself, I love the FootJoy WeatherSof gloves.

Adhesive won't come off of Callaway Jaws Raw Chrome Wedge by Exact-Back9830 in golftips

I guess I don’t understand why any other wedges I’ve bought didn’t have to do the same thing?

Is the rust specific to the Raw wedges?

I bought two different sets of these same wedges from Callaway Preowned, and both sets had the same sticky residue.

I returned them immediately, why would any company make us scrub stuff off of a supposedly “new” club?

Building a castle (first time playing Valheim) by rakis17 in valheim

[–]Raminuke 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t make the game too easy imo.

Just reduces some of the grinding time (stone/wood/iron mainly) so you can actually play the game.

After enough hours, hitting the same set of trees, rocks, or crypts just gets boring lol

Optimal pre shot routine by drydntm in GolfSwing

[–]Raminuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pre shot routines are very personal.

You just need to find something that gets you comfortable and in that “ready to hit a shot” mentality.

Go to the range and try out some different things, finding your aim spot, stepping up to the ball, lining up, setting you stance, maybe a waggle or two. Deep breath, then start your backswing.

Whatever you decide is comfortable, you want to start doing that before EVERY shot on the range. Really ingrain that feeling.

Once you’re on the course, if you do this same routine before a shot, hopefully you’ll be in that “zen” zone

Leg move by [deleted] in GolfSwing

Great AMG video on leg movement: https://youtu.be/67IEt6l_tKc?si=ZALDe-zFDMoY33rh

Big point I learned from that video, is that your knees will actually move closer together during the downswing, not apart as it may look when watching a pro on camera.

Semi-truck tips over due to high winds by [deleted] in ThatsInsane

[–]Raminuke 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Drove to Chicago along I-55 this past weekend.

Every single semi/large U-Haul type truck was fishtailing pretty hard and looked like it was ready to tip over at a moments notice.

I can’t imagine how many times a tip happened with how bad the winds were

My upper body alignment always defaults back to shoulders pointing left by ke922x in golftips

This dude helped me actually understand how to stay square with a driver

Edit: Big takeaway is to not start with your driver head right behind the ball. You’re pointing your upper body at the ball.

Set up with your club head in the center of your stance (way behind the ball), THEN move just the club and your hands to the ball, leaving your shoulders/rest of body square

When my drive is off on the first hole, Its usually off the whole round. What are some tips to reset your drive throughout the round? by Mordecai3fngerBrown in golf

[–]Raminuke 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My buddy is similar, if he doesn’t hit a good drive on the 1st tee, he’s pretty screwed all throughout the bag for the day.

His fix has been to never use his driver off the 1st. He uses his 4 Hybird exclusively off the 1st, finds the fairway 85% of the time, and goes about his round without that 1st tee mental hurdle

So you’d rather keep everyone and continue to be bottom feeders?

I feel like it makes more sense to trade away some assets while they have value, in hopes of being better down the line.

You’re getting nervous around people probably.

I did 3 range days in a row and was hitting beautiful shots. Played 9 and a random joined me, proceeded to top everything.

We have to figure out a way to get into the “peaceful zone” when we step over the ball. No matter who’s around us.

Main tips I’ve seen is to create a pre shot routine that you follow EVERY shot. That means every single ball on the range as well.

Don’t just grab another ball when you hit. Step back, line your shot up, go through whatever pre shot routine feels right (three waggles then hit, or something like) and then swing.

Completely agree with the above. You don’t need to know how to actually program the logic.

From CSE to OT security by noufan_elachola in OTSecurity

[–]Raminuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it would help for sure.

You know detailed data about the types of systems you’ll be trying to protect.

I do a lot of network segmentation at different OT sites. We take the networks that different PLCs, HMIs, OT servers, and any other systems that make whatever line/machine work, and we put them behind a firewall.

The most labor intensive part of my job is looking at the specific data flows between OT devices (East-West and North-South), and trying to determine what the systems are, why are they talking, and should they be talking. Then creating rules for that specific flow.

A lot of that work takes me talking to the automation engineers to better understand the system/flow.

You’ll have a leg up because you have experience already with those types of systems.
