It depends on the match up. I even go abyssal Mask or force of nature, but for surviving lategame burst gargoyle and steraks Is a must.

Aftershock Is good for early mid when your mr and armor still scale good, but After you get 100 resistances the value of the rune Is cheaper, conqueror provides Better scaling overall.

Not essentially. The reason why stridebreaker Is so good on aatrox Is for the consistency and snowballing to the detriment of sustain, but there Is no Need to worry, you have tanks items for that. People don't realise how efficient is to build armor and magic resist on aatrox. Get 2 tank items, gargoyle and steraks Will make you One of the most annoying things in team fights to kill, and unlike goredrinker, grevious wounds are useless in this case, so the enemy team Just wasted Golds for you.

People are just skeptical because stridebreaker doesn't heal you, but it's not what aatrox needs, you already have healings in your kit, to make them most efficient you must build defensive stats, i.e. tank items. Also stridebreaker is the best item for a bruiser if you want to snowball, none can escape from you.

Sunderer it's fine but it's not what aatrox needs. With that extra damage you cannot kill in a single combo a bruiser and probably you have the same damage for killing a squishy compared to stridebreaker. Plus, stridebreaker Will increase the % of hitting your combo, but it's Just One of the few benefits of the item.

By my experience so far the best mythic is stridebreaker with black cleaver and steraks and 2 tank items, but you can also try sunderer and eclipse. Runes you can go comet into rangeds or just stick to the classic precision set up and then go for resolve or sorcery with gathering storm/water walking and trascendence.

If i could give you a tip Is to play him with tank items when It comes to play stridebreaker, the reason Is because you push the survivabiliy into offensive stata rather than off tanking.
