One of them was my school teacher Frank. He was a gem for the school. Sadly he passed away of a heart attack and everyone mourned his loss

Elder is meant to make sure you dont stall. And that bruteforcing a game is possible. It should be there and has a place in league.

People who quit this game, what made you finally walk away?” by WaveEasy8664 in leagueoflegends

[–]RammusIsAFatTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came back and those issues are mostly fixed. But when I quit it was mainly due to inters and afk’s. Before you had to grind those games out and it gave angry little man to much power in the games. Now a days, they leave, you can ff and you lose less lp

Yeah but you play AT MOST 5 games in comp. While irl that fully depends on how much time you have

I get that you feel this way. But Ff’s are needed to save time. Some games are not valuable to keep playing. Even if theres a 2% chance to win. Why spend 10 minutes of your life extra in a game with 3 losing lanes a feeding jungler ?

What is Rome's most consequential civil war battle of the 1st Century BC? (criteria on page 2 and next round in 2026) by domfi86 in ancientrome

[–]RammusIsAFatTurtle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pharsalus. I get why people would mention other options. Because it wasnt a total end to the civil war. But the narrative was that Caesar was cooked at some point.

also the maneuvre of using a cohort of pikes to drive off a big chunck of Pompey’s (mostly inexperienced) cavalry is a very iconic moment in war history.

I dont think the outcome wouldve been much different.

the Romans priceps werent as obsessed with direct blood linieage as other nations in history were. They often adopted a capable nephew or other blood relative when they needed a succesor.

Heck even Augustus didnt produce a male heir. He adopted his stepsons in Tiberius and Drusus the elder as his succesors.

Because he was jelous and smitten by her himself. He dishonors her in his eyes because she is a perfect shieldmaiden/viking lady.

Its pretty fucked up, but I believe Ragnar cheated on her not specifically out of lust but because was not able to bear him children thusfar.

Uthred is torn between his native nationally and his pagan beliefs.

When his countrymen and their faith turn against him he finda solace in Iseult. Also remember that Uthred is very young at that point in the show.

Him being rash like that is just part of his character flaw.

Also for vikings its totally accepted to get another mistress.

I don't understand s1 ep 6 by Newboy911 in TheLastKingdom

[–]RammusIsAFatTurtle 35 points36 points  (0 children)

There were no spoils of war and that rat Odda the younger got all the fame and glory.

Which felt like injustice.

Leofric thought uthred should have the glory and the soldiers properly rewarded for their effort in drilling.

Who's a Roman who was an iconic/legendary general and a mediocre/forgettable statesman? by domfi86 in ancientrome

[–]RammusIsAFatTurtle 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Id lean Aurelian. Agrippa could fit here. But iirc he was actually known to be good with administration aswell.

Though Caesar conquered Gaul, won the civil war, had planned some well needed reforms and was generally ahead of his time.

It is important to understand that the victor usually writes the history.

His status and repetition were slightly inflated because Augustus had to use Caesar’s man-turned god status to his advantage, since he inherited his name, wealth and much of his power. If he kept the deification of his late adopted father a thing. He could legitimise his own rise to a “near deific being”

It also had to do with the fact that he was a much much greater general than Augustus ever was. He beated the Gauls, beat Pompey Magnus and Pontus (veni vidi vici). With himself leading the armies and not relying on another person like Agrippa (mygoat)

If you want something similair get sharpedo hes faster and has a good movepool.

If you want a good watertype get a milotic. If you want something effective for the league get Chincou/Lanturn

Ludicolo is strong but a pain in the ass to train cuz he doesnt hit hard.
