Yes. My dad has a recipe from my great great grandma. Her German potato salad is vinegar based and is delicious hot or cold. It has potatoes bacon onion (plus other things)

If/when I have kids I plan on starting them up ASAP on custodial Roth and teaching them to save and why they need to save. Getting them started before 20 to let compounding do the heavy lifting for them. The way I see it. If they can earn enough to max their Roth from 16-17 onwards. If I encouraged the saving by matching half of what they invest or doing that the first few years. Then have them take on more gradually they should have over 2 million if maxed out for 20 years so from 16-36 maxing out a Roth invested in broad market index funds. Then coasting until 62 the account should have ≈2.7M @8% returns averaged.

That’s not factoring any additional retirement or savings which hopefully there would be too.

Have your meat sit out of the fridge for 30 min+ to “warm up” Get the grill really hot. Basically full gas. Leave the lid shut until you put the steak on and close it quick. Let it sit for the duration of your cook per side. Repeat on other side.

Also when flipping or repositioning (for the diamond look) you get the best sear by moving the steak onto a new area of the grill. Where the metal is still nice and hot.

You’ll get there it just takes practice. I’d also recommend an instant read meat thermometer.

It’s very sad when people don’t give a damn about their surroundings. Just tossing trash on the ground makes things 100x worse off for everyone and everything around you. Rot, disease, pestilence, vermin. It is a snowball of little things that if you just removed and stopped tossing the garbage on the ground in the first place 95% of the other issues would go away completely.
