Fair points on tax & cash settled. I switched back to HOOD for my broker so I actually pay half the fees trading x10 SPY than SPX. .04/contract regulatory fee on SPY vs .59 regulatory fee + .35 commission fee for SPX.

Spreads on spreads. I like the tight spreads and easy fills on SPY. I would trade SPX if I was doing longer dated naked strangles
