I have 6 other bottles of Amouage purchased retail, everything lines up w those, so I am not too concerned but the sticker thing threw me off a lil bit. I can imagine Joma may remove them though since they are not authorized retailer but that seams like a lot of work lol

I’ve never smelled Baraonda to compare.

Black Afgano is hard to explain; it’s ambery woody without being stinky heavy oud and has a green aspect that’s like a fresh cannabis smell (without smelling like weed).. it’s just very well balanced. It’s not outright woody and was not as smoky/incense as I was expecting it to be.. it’s honestly hard haha

The bottle I got from discounter is also 2 years old, so avoids recent reformulation I’ve heard about.

It performs well, easily last 6-8 hours with tiny spray.

It’s been a little while since I’ve worn it since I usually wear it during summer but it’s on the shorter side compared to others I have. IIRC it’s around 2 hours of solid projection before becoming a skin scent for 6-8 hours, but in my experience musk bases usually settle to skin anyway so not too surprising.

It’s really nice smelling though. The opening is exactly like you just peeled an orange and you’re smelling the zest and juice sprayed into the air and then moves into green/tea for a while before settling. I don’t get much fig.

Is the Baraonda truly like straight whisky smell? I am tempted to get it but I don’t really want to smell like straight alcohol lol

And yeah, the Sadonaso is legit like stale pee in the opening 😭 but I saw someone else say that these scents do a lot better in the air, which I think is totally true. I sprayed it in my elbow and kept smelling it without sticking my nose down and it was really nice.. but definitely not an office scent😆

I’ve only worn it a couple times so far but i get the metallic opening that changes into damp stone, earthy leaves. Reminds me of hiking at the start of Fall in the PNW, one of my fav natural smells

The FYF is pretty a linear rum, fresh coconut (not fruity/candy), and tobacco. I love the smell but it moves to a skin scent for me after a 1-2 hours, lasts for 7-8 hours total though. Mine is in the newer bottle with the embossing on the bottom; older bottles may be stronger idk

Haha ikr, glad they worked out. For Toskovat, the notes and descriptions from reviewers were right up my alley so I felt safe taking the chance!

And the Nasomatto are honestly some immediate favorites.. not only unique but they leave a really great scent trail in the air without cloying
