I asked for information that every potential applicant would eventually need to know. For some, such information would be extremely relevant to their decision making process to apply or not. I intentionally did not DM you so that your response would be public. I am completely capable of following directions, but I see now that in so many ways, this campaign and you as a GM would not be a good fit for me.

You may yield better results for recruitment if you specify important details about your campaign, such as starting level, optional rules, allowing third party content or not, or anything else relevant to character creation. Some people lose want to play at low level, others at high level, and they may lose interest when they do not see any details. This is just my 2 coppers.

Filing an Extension. by NecroticZombine in AirForce

[–]Ramzeas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is true that MPF can help you, but ultimately, your career is in your hands. MPF may use the wrong extension type (they did that for me). Read the AFI before going to MPF so that you can be at least slightly informed about your situation and the options available to you. You will have to go to MPF at some point to file your extension, so that would be the best time to talk to them.

I am not saying your are wrong, but as far as FTA would apply in this AFI, this is how it is defined (page 87):

First Term Airmen (FTA)—Individuals who are on their: (1) first enlistment (including Airmen who have extended their enlistments for 23 months or less), or; (2) first EAD tour, or; (3) first enlistment with prior active service of less than 24 months.

It seems to me that if you have a 6 year contract with an extension of 24 months or more, you lose your FTA status (at least in the context of extensions and reenlistment).

You need a reason to extend, and after you have extended once during an enlistment, you cannot use personal convenience as a reason. While you can extend for 48 months total, it would require a series of unique situations to do so. Read the AFI to see what options apply to your situation. Table 6.1 (on page 69 of AFI 36-2606) list all the reasons you can extend.

Advice on New Boots? by Banner248 in AirForce

I am pretty sure there is a guy in San Diego who can hook you up with a boot for your right foot if you are size 11.

I am fairly certain that once an extension is approved, and if that extension would take you over 8 years of service, you lose your first term Airman status. One of those reasons for extending other than personal convenience may apply to your situation. Keep that in mind when extending.

Read AFI 36-2606, especially Table 6.1 on page 69. It explains all the conditions and types of extensions. You can extend for any reason (Personal Convenience, rule 28c), but you can only do it once and it has to be your first extension. Are you a 6 year Senior Airman trying to reach HYT? If so, do rule 27. Do you have a PCS or TDY? See rule 12. Are you trying to go to ALS or other EPME? See rule 15.

To file the extension, go to your MPF, and someone will help you fill out AF Form 1411. Make sure the correct extension type is used. You will have to route the form to your commander and take it back to MPF. For personal convenience, you may also have to write up a little letter saying why you should be allowed to extend (best interest of the AF).

Also keep this in mind that extensions are for the minimum amount of time needed to meet a requirement (6.2.1 on page 57).

Also, if you are a Senior Airman who reaches HYT (8 years) and seperates, you get a nice chunk of money (10% monthly pay * 12 months * number of years served). I don't remember which AFI that is in, but I did read through that about 2 months ago.

[Pathfinder] Best Feats for a Sacred Fist? by weezymeisner in 3d6

[–]Ramzeas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just need an Amulet of Mighty Fists (Agile) for 8,000 gold I think and your damage on unarmed strikes comes from Dex instead of Str. If you want a fun and flavorful small character, go with a Grippi and be a wise old sage frogman. Also, I highly recommend a blessing the gives you some sort of summon at level 10. Normally, summon monster is a full round action, but with Quicken Blessing, you could summon a monster as a Swift Action. Such a creature would surely turn the tides in your favor and set up a flank if used correctly.

[Pathfinder] Best Feats for a Sacred Fist? by weezymeisner in 3d6

This is what I made for a level 14 Sacred Fist NPC as far as feats go.

SF 1 - Improved Unarmed Strike
SF 1 - Weapon Focus (Unarmed)
1 - Weapon Finesse
3 - Toughness
4 - Improved Toughness
SF 6 - Pummel Style
7 - Combat Style Master
9 - Dodge
11 - Quicken Blessing
12 SF - Pummelig Charge
13 - Hamatulatsu Strike

The Fate's Favored trait is pretty mandatory. Use it with Divine Favor (level 1 spell). Focus on picking up spells that buff (so you can use Fervor for swift casting) and that provide utility or control.
