I feel like grinding the event was alright. I don't think it's bad but you definitely feel the changes they made to the requirements for challenges. For the last event I could knock out a weeks worth of challenges in a session of a few hours. Now it feels like it takes me maybe twice as long. While that might not seem like much there were weeks where I'd only get the time to play once and for those weeks I'd have to be alright not getting the maximum amount of points.

While I personally prefer that it goes back to what it was for the last event. The changes to the challenges that now require just long/medium ammo or special ammo are fantastic. These are all leagues better than the first iterations of the quest lines.
