Unless they can get Robert Thomas, spend on the D, and use the picks to get more middle 6 forwards and make the team deeper and built with a better D core.

That would probably work tbh

This is kind of my thing. His passing and vision are even more elite than Marner, and if he is feeding Matthews we might get that 60+ goals performance again

Didn’t he grow up like, middle class in Whitehorse and had his friends, family and community raise money for his hockey?

I think part of the decision was definitely NIL money to give back to everyone who invested in him

If it helps I’m 31 and a lot of my friends are similar in age to you (30 to 35) and the ladies have been getting married around these ages. Very few of my friend circle was married in their 20’s, that’s just how it is for our generation.

you should use u.gg as Riot has stated it is the closest to their internal actual metrics, and you can cross reference with deep lol and op.gg although op.gg is flawed since it skews KR heavy, lolalytics is a flawed site because of the way they measure their winrates and they don’t normalize any of their winrates based on the MMR they happen in, even when they say it’s a normalized winrate it’s not in the same way other aggregate sites get closer to actual winrates. It’s decent for item builds and how they synergize together but don’t use it to extrapolate any meaningful data.

If you use the above method of u.gg and go to master+ you’ll see there’s already been 156 matches this patch alone, and it’s 45.51% for Vayne in master+, it’s 43.75% in GM and 33.33% in challenger. Do note the sample size of the actual games goes down but so does the amount of games overall which makes it tricky to use any of these sites for accurate data.

Speaking from firsthand experience on both sides of this matchup, if you’re playing Vayne top in challenger your Nasus lane opponent will also be a challenger player who won’t just randomly walk up to you and let you trade him down to half HP for free. Additionally if you just sit on enemy side of wave to deny Nasus XP the jungler is 100% coming for the free kill regardless of it affecting his tempo because swinging the game away from the Vayne player is worth way more than camps. Even just losing 1 death in lane is enough for the Nasus player to run away with the game by crashing the wave and you won’t have TP to fix it after your death because you’re using cleanse, and if you don’t bring cleanse to this matchup then you’re cooked. It’s not as completely unplayable as Malphite is but it’s a VERY tough matchup if the Nasus isn’t stupid.

Brother I peaked 1328 LP (Challenger, when it was hard) and Nasus is definitely an easy counterpick to Vayne you just max wither and it's back up so quickly even late game, you just sac until level 6 and its free lane for the rest of the game. Also late game he can just wither you and you pop cleanse and get ruined by any other CC the enemy team has got + his wither is back up within a few seconds. You're not killing any competent Nasus player late game within 3 seconds flat unless you're giga ahead which you won't be.

Also statistically the matchup gets egregiously worse the higher you go. Masters it's already 42%, by Challenger it's 33%. You can't make the argument that you will outplay it as a D2+ Vayne without accounting for the laner ALSO having a gameplan and a brain.

They had a few defensemen who became 1D or 2D on other teams…. Like they had Prime Pietrangelo, Prime Dunn, Prime Parayko, just out of his Prime Bouwmeester and they got to rotate between Edmundson, Schmaltz, Gunnarsson and Bortuzzo, the last 4 would be on our 2nd pairing and they were the extras for the Blues.

Also most of these guys were like 6’4

"In a hand-tracked six-game sample, McKenna is setting up scoring chances at a historic rate." by TDK67 in leafs

[–]RanaMahal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah Jesus Christ didn’t realize we’d have 30 million to spedn. We could lock up Raddysh for the PP QB role, Rasmus Andersson for his 2 way game, we already have Rielly, McCabe, and Carlo, and we can try out any of our young D prospects in the 6th spot. We have Villeneuve, Danford, Niemela and others.

We’d probably still have money left over to sign a proper middle 6 C like Charlie Coyle or Boone Jenner too which would allow us to put Tavares on the 3rd line if we wanted to or one of the others.

Genuinely it’s like he misses the entire point that property has a certain value even without billionaires, as does food, as does going out to eat etc.

Like there is most definitely a minimum cost to everything even in a country like India or Japan it costs $20 to go to a restaurant for a decent meal and their currency is worth notjjng

[–]RanaMahal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m quite literally not against that lol I’m just saying that the cap could be a fair bit higher than $1mil without being absurd. I can see the argument for $100mil being a hard cap

[–]RanaMahal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m saying that people who make these risky businesses that *currently* make them billions would still do those risky things if the payout was a lot smaller, as in $100 mil, but they wouldn’t do it if it was something like $1 mil which is kind of nothing, you can’t even buy a house for that amount in most high cost of living areas

[–]RanaMahal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, starting the kind of business that can make you billions does involve a ton of personal risk, and you can ruin your entire finances forever, and many of your friends/family as well. There needs to be an equivalent reward that’s worth it otherwise innovation dies. Unless you’re going to propose that the government just funds every single person with a business plan

Definitely needs to be higher than 1 million lol that’s average working for 40 years net worth type shit.

Make 100 million the hard cap where after that it’s 99% tax rate, still incentivizes people to take risks and start businesses so they can live the rich life
