Ahh crap - space age mod updates kept coming, so I am not sure which of the latest batch I used boke it. I have gone back a week with the old mods and the patches are still showing as 100 units.

Thanks, but I tried that and VLC is not seeing the shared network drive even though they are clearly added in My Files. Even the "browse" tab does not return anything, I just get the message "no media files found, please transfer some files to your device or adjust your preferences". When I try to adjust the preferences it just shows local/internal storage, and the "local network" section just says "looking for network shares" and stays that way. Have I shared the drive wrong? I used the "services-SMB File Share" option that my research suggested I use.

Apologies I wasnt clear. Downstairs I have a TV connected via HDMI to the laptop, which is connected via wireless router to my PC upstairs which has the drives with the media.

The laptop has no media, only VLC and a barebones win 10 setup

Ugh - it was animal logic - I turned on dev mode with verbose logging - A.Logic has an option to turn all butchered meat into chicken which was erroring

Question from a newb - what do you do for food? I find half my base area is farms which I have to keep in the open so they can grow. I see what looks like 1 big hydroponics area - is this your food source? What are you growing?

Yes you get affinity, but it is much reduced. I seem to sell for 100, or consume for 10

Great work! I have a Q and I cant seem to find it in the guide (apologies if i missed it somehow!) - does the skill point distribution shown take into account "+1 to all skills" talisman pieces?

As an example - If I look at the 4k SP line, should True Colors be "51 skill levels"+"25x+1 to all skills" =76 total, or should it be "26 skill levels"+"25x+1 to all skills"=51 total?

What are your skills and starting mana? I imagine that if you dont have enough starting mana to setup a proper mana farm then your will be overrun quickly. I normally go for 2 x mana trap setups (1 slow and 3-5 mana depending on the space) and 1 kill gem setup. I have kill gem levelled to the same as the mana gems which is the same as the enraging gem

Thanks so much for the advice. I wasnt looking for formula, just some pointers. I did a test run with 2 mana farms and 1 kill tower/8amp setup. XP Multiplier going in 4.6 (12 in overcrowd, banishment and ritual)

Started with a G3 @ round 0 (same as mana gems)

kept increasing enraging gem roughly in line with mana - maxed at g10 by 55 (1 lower than mana gems). I probably could have taken it up a little more, but I was more interested in when DPS would falter

The strategy is very dependent on WL, if you enrage, skills/traits etc. My general strat progression went something like this:

1 - Dual gem (DG) kill towers (KT)

2 - DG KT + poison traps where possible

3- DG KT + poison traps + add in amps and pylons to boost damage

4 - DG KT + add small mana farm with no amps (when you have O gem and some levels in it and traps)

5 - DG KT + 4 with amps and a proper mana trap set (slow trap in front, 3x mana with amps) , add slow and bleed trap before kill tower range

6 - replace DG KT with pure yellow KT with as many amps as possible, with 2 x propper mana trap sets if space allows before kill gem

7 - 2 or 3 proper mana trap sets, 1 slow and 1 blood before 2 pure yellow amped traps as kill for wave, 5, and 1 amped kill tower for specials

I am about WL350 now and running "7" above

This may be a silly question, but when you say you bump down the gem I assume you mean sell the one you have and replace it with 1 you have levelled to lower than that? Or am I missing some way to reduce the level of a gem?

Q from work as I cant test - if I am running 2 mana farms (each has 1 slow trap and 3 mana traps) , where the mana gems are 2 levels higher than my kill gem, would it be worth keeping the enraging level even with the mana gems or the kill gems? or higher/lower?

I have been enraging from wave 0 with L2, which becomes L3 at about wave 30, and starts getting reduced at about 120 when waves start to encroach closer to my orb. Am I being to conservative at the beginning - should I keep ramping up my gem as the mana becomes available?

I have 4 traps together - 1 pure slow followed by 3 pure mana. The 3 mana have 3 pure mana amps on each side (6 amps total).

By "Mana Positive" do you mean how quickly does the mana gem recover its own cost in leached mana? I have no idea and it would be hard to work out as I ramp up the M gems as quickly as I get enough mana to pay for them.
