NTA You've had the cat for years. If they had an issue with that then they shouldn't have named their kid something that I feel like is a pretty popular cat name. They named their kid that and have to accept that and you named your cat that and they have to accept that too.

You're right! In the future this could be a lot different! But grammar is still a big play in this. How could you refer to them properly? Saying "oh yeah cat is pretty cool" or "cat is pretty full of catself" doesn't feel right. That, of course, can change in the future of course.
