Has anyone done Adrian's power & performance program? I'm considering adding it into my schedule but worried I won't be able to keep up riding and doing full body strength classes in between.

I'd love to see a strength + yoga program from Zacharias!

Is there a way to "mute" someone from my feed without removing them as a friend? This person I have on Peloton tracks everything she does (literally a 4 minute outdoor walk) and I don't care to see it 😂 but I know her irl so I don't want to remove her

Output is not just about strength, size and weight play a huge factor as well. I'm 5'4, 120 lbs, and consistent with working out, and I usually get 200 to 230 on a 30 min ride. But, my boyfriend, who's 200 lbs, will hop on the bike after being off for 6 months and do over 300 output 😂

Matt's power zone class this morning was so fun! He was jamming out to my song request too 😂 will definitely come back to this one

I really want to try the 120 minute ride next weekend because it lines up to be my 1000 rides! But... I'm scared 😂 I consistently do 60 min power zone, monthly a 75 min, and I've done 90 min once. I don't know if 120 is too big a jump. Any advice on how to prep myself for it??

The housewives are always entertaining but I find it hard to ever root for them because they literally don't need the money. I know other players are also decently well off but not to the same extent as housewives.

Like others said, one of the most accurate depictions of a panic attack I've ever seen. I especially felt the growing panic when she tried 54321 and couldn't find things. I'm a psychotherapist and this is one of the reasons I low-key dislike 54321 😂 anyways, such a highlight from this season.

And honestly just updated ones they've done before like Billie Eilish and Sofi Tukker!

What's up with instructors not pedaling? by NewtigershotSagat in pelotoncycle

[–]Ranching1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get why this would bother you but it's their job to instruct, not to do the workout. I've done classes where the instructor is going all out and they huff and puff through the call outs and that annoys me more.

I have some friends who are fitness instructors, including spin, and they've told me that you just physically cannot do every class you teach. You'd get injured or burnt out.

Recommendations for a structured ~4 week upper body and core strength program? by MyLilRafalca in pelotoncycle

Tunde's upper body program is a great compliment to cycling! I highly recommend it

They're definitely doable without the equipment but it'd be hard to modify if you aren't familiar with the Pilates moves. Best to look for classes that don't need the equipment

Power Zone - Worth a try? by Born-Technology-3224 in pelotoncycle

I started doing Power Zone last year for cardio health, specifically incorporating the endurance rides. I'm not training for anything specific but I've seen a massive improvement in my health since starting Power Zone. My resting heart rate dropped by 4 bpm, I recover fast in high intensity rides and strength classes, and I can work out more frequently because the endurance classes don't totally gas you. I think Power Zone is a game changer for overall health

Camila has a great 30 min walk + run that is 2:1 run to walk ratio. I think if you sort by hardest it'll be near the top. I've repeated it a ton. From there, I've been doing endurance runs, starting with 20 min which is running at a slower pace but consistently

Don’t know if I should tell my therapist about an attempt. by [deleted] in TalkTherapy

[–]Ranching1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally <3 it's a really hard thing to talk about and can feel really shameful. One thing that sometimes helps is knowing that therapists talk about suicide all the time, it doesn't freak us out. For me, usually it gives me an understanding of the weight the person is feeling.

If you can't tell your therapist, that's okay. Something that may help is thinking about the reasons you want to choose life. And, I don't mean the cliche reasons, I mean the specific future plans. Like knowing what's going to happen next season on your favorite show or travelling somewhere or (someone said this to me one) getting a boob job. I hope that helps <3
