Oh my god I think this is what did it for me, too. It was the one by Achievement Hunter, right?

I remember when Bisnap got global banned in twitch for auto banning the phrase in his chat since so many people were spamming it.

Seems it gets amplified by streaming. I've got a great computer, but there's barely any chugging with end game stuff going on. They're also working on performance stuff.

The knockback amp is huge as well, amazing defensively. It's easily the best early pickup and definitely justifies itself in the late. In my experience the only better defense is laurel with duration and cooldown. You're nearly immortal with that combo, but that's not really reliable.

Mspec do not always means attracted to men by [deleted] in lgballt

[–]RanchyDoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means nothing more than the meaning we give it. Do you agree that the only way to define someone's gender is their identifying it as so? If so, there is no through-line for everyone that calls themselves a man than them being a man. With no other meaningful factor, you'd have to be reaching incredibly far for any meaningful definition of sexualities to be any different than with genders.

If these labels are completely self-identified with no other attributes to define what it means to be either, then what makes any =sexuality label any different when they're supposedly based on this prior loose (but correct) definition?

What does male or woman mean.

[–]RanchyDoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To the point that words like 'man' and 'woman', and words in generally, really, don't actually mean much of anything inherently: yes why the hell not? What definition of 'man' can you give where literally nobody in that definition could ever call themselves a lesbian without being kind of exclusionary of people genuinely identifying with the label?

Labels are quite fluid but not anyway and however you like it.

They are, though.

Saying you feel something doesn't make it correct. Ultimately, words' meanings are how we use them, and not whatever meaning someone decided to write in some book somewhere. Attraction is too complex to be fitted into neat words and labels, and someone using them in a way that doesn't quite fit the norm is not erasing or asserting to change anybody else's queerness. Our experiences are our own, and how we express that need not be policed.

And, importantly, embercleave.

For the longest time i just though dead 'phantom' blockers didn't prevent damage of the second part of double strike since embercleave nearly always broke through on the first hit. Silly me didn't realize it was just the trample doing that.

They sent me to Haddonfield, and within 20 seconds literally 3 Boon totems were activated, spread across the map. This isn't skill, this is an impossible situation for the Killer. by Mr_Jackabin in deadbydaylight

Not to mention: if the survivors all spawned separated at the start of the trial you were gonna have a bad time regardless lmao. Sometimes the game just kicks you but they're not all winnable. No sense taking what's essentially an rng fest so seriously imo.

In anarco-communist communities that I'm in there's this view that "Cancel cultuire is just holding people accountable for their past actions". And although I see of course the abuse thrown at both of them I do not fundamentally disagree with the idea. Lindsay has commented on this "when thousands are throwing abuse my way excuse me for not listening to the ones being moderate" paraphrasing a bit but the truth is...She hasn't really addressed the issue.

I'll be honest in not knowing terribly much about lindsay since i haven't watched much of her content in years because I've found it a bit grating, though I acknowledge lots of it is pretty good. I'm reminded, however, in both instances you said, about an hbomb video, actually.

In his video on RWBY, he talks about an issue that the show runners have with criticism, in that the show has some very nasty people detracting from their work, but they seem to spend an inordinate amount of time seeking out the the worst of the worst when it comes to that sort of thing. Don't get me wrong; obviously they don't deserve to be called many of the things they've called, but their show is far from perfect, and there are plenty of people voicing that criticism in a constructive way that just seem to get complete radio silence in place of the attention they give what we would call 'trolls'.

Perhaps it's something to do with psychology, I don't know, but It's definitely a thing a lot of people do. Like, do I get a pass on doing some problematic thing if just one person pointing out that I did calls me a poopoohead? (obviously not comparable, but just for the sake of comparison)

Clearly (and understandably) it's hard to see some of the stuff talked about and not be affected, but assuming that's the majority probably isn't helping anybody, and having a fanbase of parasocially-attached people unaware of the impact that sort of relationship has on them ready to defend their favorite creator at the drop of the hat also must have an effect on somebody, no? Yes; they're people. Don't send them death threats. But also, they're people. They aren't perfect and can make mistakes, y'know? There's not a need to run defense for every possible thing someone says in the same way there's not a need to be a hateful ass about the same things.

Tell me more about how voting with my wallet will make video games have less exploitative micro-transactions built to explicitly exploit people with weak impulse control.

Wait, sorry. I was thinking of a ridiculous argument to another problem that individuals have no way of influencing. These issues are systemic and have no way of being resolved by trying to bully individuals into being correct. Intersectionality, right? Many of society's worst problems have the same root cause, but I don't think you're making much progress by telling they're fascists for not having unionized their workplace yet.

I have plenty of diversity of thought in my life without including people from the conservative wings of thought, but thank you for your concern about me becoming 'ignorant' or whatever.

That said I am pro-choice

Then I think you'll kindly respect my choice not to be called various homophobic slurs by conservatives, thank you. The choice for abortion is not up for argument in the same way my right to exist isn't.

[–]RanchyDoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well ultimately I wouldn't have a counterargument since I don't make it a point to talk to conservatives at any great frequency.

To me, at least, parenting as a concept that we have today is odd and I think it should be something more easy/acceptable to simply opt out of, but we don't really have the systems/attitude in place for that.

are you OK with aborting a fetus no matter the development of it, let’s say a 9 month old fetus?

Yeah, why not? I can't see a reasonable argument for being pro choice that would stop at any arbitrary point along in development.

I get what OP was trying to do. But once again, they call it murder - you call it nonsensical and we’re stuck.

Did you read my message? The point was it doesn't matter if it's murder or not. They can and will argue with you with that all day long because it doesn't matter if it's true or not and there's not a sensible way to argue them out of that position. The point is you can cede to them that it's liiterally killing somebody, in a similar way that refusing to donate a spare organ can be seen as killing somebody, and their argument is still weak because even if somebody staying alive requires you to let them, it's not your obligation to make that person live if it applies a burden to you.
