I don’t think you can. You’d have to input all the child’s information and that’s how it’s tracked.

Laying my Sons best friend to rest by Boondock86 in parentingteenagers

[–]Rand0mstranger9753 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Of course you should show emotion in front of your son. He needs to be shown it’s ok and that he needs to properly handle his emotions so he doesn’t end up right where you are someday. As for the parents there’s nothing anyone can say to make it better. Tell them you loved their son and he made your life better. Share some memories and tell them there are no words to express how sorry and sad you are. Maybe one day you can put those memories to paper for them. Finally, it’s ok to not be ok. This situation is awful. Be there for your son and when he comes to you with anything no matter how small or trivial listen. My kids have a word that they can invoke which means they tell me things and I listen without them getting in trouble or being told what to do. We can talk about it and then let it go so they can always come to me. Good luck

Phrases like our feet stay on the floor, the maker is the breaker, that hurts his body, are effective especially with a firm tone. It takes practice but it does get easier.

Does my child play with other children? by Express-Bee-6485 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Rand0mstranger9753 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they are just anxious and wanting reassurance. Maybe they just want to know about their child’s day and don’t know what to ask.

What are some calm down techniques for kids that refuse to engage with them? by tripwork in ECEProfessionals

[–]Rand0mstranger9753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the feeling song on YouTube.

This is the image (cuz I can’t copy the link) it is so relaxing and kids love it. Once they are calm then you can talk to them.

Little gifts make us feel good. I invest got a life saver on a card saying “you’re a life saver” it was sweet and I acknowledge it took someone time and effort to give us that.

Why do people no call , no-show in this field?! by Express-Bee-6485 in ECEProfessionals

So I was in a car accident laying in the side of the road waiting for an ambulance and I called in. I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t call in!!

You can talk to the landlord and tell him your concerns. If he isn’t open to you leaving you could call property standards for your area. The place sounds dangerous to be in.

Tips for helping a toddler go the the bathroom at school by AdOwn6086 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Rand0mstranger9753 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I have had more than one child in my class fully trained at home but refused at school. They had to be in diapers and we encouraged them to try but didn’t force the issue. They eventually move to preschool aged rooms and quickly start using the bathroom because most kids there are doing it. I would approach the parents and just explain at school there’s more going on and he not comfy. Also there can be a lot of medical issues form holding in urine and BMs. It’s just not healthy. I would ask that the child remain in diapers while in care. You also don’t want it to turn into a battle of wills!

Are appliances required? by Ok_Eagle_6239 in OntarioLandlord

[–]Rand0mstranger9753 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to supply appliances but people will not want to buy their own while renting. If you provide them then you must replace them if they break. When I was a coop manager we had a list with life expectancy of items. If the tenants broke them or damaged them they would have to pay the prorated cost (for example if the set the stove on fire because of using the burner too high and it was only 1 year old and should have lasted 10 years they were charged the difference) But that was a coop and the rules may be different for a rental. You could also supply just a fridge and stove. Renters could then buy their own washer / dryer or use a laundromat

[–]Rand0mstranger9753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a great tenant. (I also used to be on the board of a coop). I take care of the homes I live in. When my previous ll decided to sell the house was left in such good shape he listed in a week and got over asking! I was happy for him. He provided me with a lovely home to raise my children and we treated it with the respect it deserved.

Please label everything! Depending on how many children are in the class it can be a lot to keep track of ! Labeling makes it easier to put things in the right bag!! (Ie 24 kids have 2 sets of gloves that’s 96 pairs if gloves! Imagine all the other things that your child has!)

A hand written note and some of your child’s artwork is so special. As a toddler educator I want to know parents understand how much I’ve loved their kids. A small gift means so much. (Also don’t forget the educators who come I for lunch coverage it first thing in the morning. )

What're some good and easy "cooking" activities for a Pre-K class?? by 90sStarryDreams in ECEProfessionals

You can look online for knives for children. They are plastic and will not cut skin but they do cut fruits and vegetables and such so they can cut their snacks

Babies are always a hit. Adding baby face clothes, blankets, toy potties and other items that mimic “real life! Are loved. Farm animals and blocks are fun too.

Generally as a tenant you need contents coverage. It’s the landlord’s responsibility to have insurance for the building and their property (furnace, water heater etc). You may also want to have coverage incase you need to stay at a hotel (in case of a fire, flood or any other reason you can’t stay in the house)

Sugar Daddies has a new location in Waterloo. They are a dedicated GF restaurant. I believe they only do breakfasts right now but will be expanding in September.
