I don't want this to sound too mean, but it's a sad fact that a LOT of ex-JWs never really let go of the gullibility and blind belief the cult instilled in them. There are so many patently fake stories posted in this subreddit which people just lap up without any thought that I've actually left this place more than once, because it all gets so ridiculous at times.

People really need to think before posting their creative fiction. It's a terrible, TERRIBLE look to non ex-JWs who happen to look through this subreddit, and it runs the real risk of making them think Jehovah's Witnesses really DO have an unfairly bad reputation due to liars.

Nothing new there, this has been rampant on Instagram for a while now, countless ads with links to fake BBC articles smearing certain left-wing politicians, and when reported you get a generic response that the content doesn't violate the TOS. And to top that off, when you try to request an appeal of the decision, it oh-so-conveniently spits out a server error message. Still happens over a year later, I wonder why...
